Chapter 4779
"So slow..."
Cloud Spirit pouted when she saw Darryl. Her delicate features could not hide her
contempt. "What took you so long?"
Even though she went to the Black Swamp with Darryl, and they had successfully brought
the Ghost Spirit Herb back with them, their relationship had not improved. Cloud Spirit
despised Darryl even more.
Darryl did not care about her impatience. He smiled and asked, "Please get straight to the
point."
Cloud Spirit did not hesitate. She said, "The Sedation Pills in Jade Fairyland have run out.
The alchemists are currently cultivating in seclusion. You can help refine some."
A sedation Pill was a medicinal remedy for tranquility and meditation.
Empress Heidi took it every day, so it was in great demand.
Hmm?
Darryl frowned and said with a half-smile, "The Sedation Pills are just ordinary pills. You
can make them yourself, so there's no need to come here and get me to do it for you,
right?"
Darryl's heart was as clear as a mirror, and he could see through Cloud Spirit at a glance.
Empress Heidi must have wanted to take a Sedation Pill that morning.
When she found out that it had run out, she asked Cloud Spirit to refine some more.
However, Cloud Spirit must have thought that the pill refining process was too dirty, and
she was afraid that the ashes from the elixir cauldron would get onto her body. Then she
thought of Darryl.
Cloud Spirit had already thought it through. She only had to mention the Empress, and the
old man would cooperate with her.
"You—"
Cloud Spirit was enraged when her true motives were revealed. She was dumbfounded for
a moment after pointing at Darryl.
It seemed like the old man was not one to be fooled.
Cloud Spirit said arrogantly, "Yes, that was originally entrusted to me by the Empress, but I
don't like germs, and I'm unwilling to enter the elixir production room. Why can't I have
you do it for me? If I hadn't spoken up for you after Black Swamp, the Empress wouldn't
have rewarded you so handsomely." "I only asked you to do one thing for me, and you're
reluctant to do so. You should feel honored that I came to you."
Oh?
Darryl found it funny and frustrating when he heard that.
That fairy was an interesting one. She did not help when they were in the Black Swamp,
but she gave herself credit?
Darryl smiled and said, "I'm sorry, I'm busy!" Then, he turned around and went back to the
room.
"You-"
Cloud Spirit stomped her feet in anger. She pointed at Darryl and yelled," You won't do as I
said? I can kick you out of Jade Fairyland for good with just a few words to the Empress."
'Damn it! I didn't want to argue, but you're getting worked up?'
Darryl stopped and turned around to look at Cloud Spirit. He smiled and said, "Really? Go
ahead." "Just wait and see!" Cloud Spirit was furious. That old man overestimated his
worth. She immediately said coldly, "You want to do this the hard way? Well see if the
Empress believes in you or me."
Then, she left angrily.
"Stop!"
Suddenly, a coquettish shout came from the room, followed by a slender figure who
walked out of it quickly.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmIt was Princess Sheila.
She had not planned to appear, but when Cloud Spirit picked on Darryl and went over the
line, she could not help herself.
Oh, no!
Darryl was shocked when he saw Princess Sheila. He panicked instantly. Did they not
agree that she would stay in the room? Why did she show herself? Cloud Spirit was
desperate to get a hold over him. If she learned that the Princess was in his room, she
would exaggerate things in front of Empress Heidi.
"Princess Sheila?"
Cloud Spirit's delicate body trembled, and she stared at Princess Sheila in a daze. Her face
reflected only disbelief. 'What's this? Why is the Princess in that old man's room so early in
the morning?’ she thought.
Cloud Spirit reacted after a few seconds and asked, "Why are you here, Princess?" "What
do you mean?" Princess Sheila's delicate face showed displeasure, and she said
arrogantly, "You're here, so why can't I be here? Also, do I need to report to you where I
go?" "No, that's not what I meant-" Cloud Spirit lowered her head respectfully. Her haughty
attitude was nowhere to be found.
Everyone in the Godly Region knew that Princess Sheila was rude and unreasonable. Even
the Princes would have a headache if they saw her, let alone Cloud Spirit. She was only a
maid serving Empress Heidi, and she would never dare to provoke the Princess.
