Chapter 4579
Prince Auten's expression darkened as his anger bubbled in his chest.
'F*ck, do these officials think Aurin is better than me?'
"Don't worry!"
When Master Magaera noticed his expression, he said in a low voice, "I've got this."
Master Magaera stepped forward, radiating power and authority. "Why are you mumbling
among yourselves? Does anyone have any objections? If no one objects, it's settled.”
His voice was not loud, but he stood his ground and allowed no room for retaliation.
As the final word rang through the air, Master Magaera retrieved a golden sword and
handed it to Prince Auten. The sword was beautifully crafted; it was the late Nine Heaven
Emperor's Hurricane Thunder Sword.
The sword had belonged to the Nine Heaven Emperor. He passed it to Prince Auten, so it
implied that the throne was passed onto him as well.
The officials in the room exchanged glances; they had unreadable expressions on their
faces.
"Hold on!"

our behalf. Don't you think that's a little presumptuous?"
His face was steeled with seriousness. It was Lunaris General.
A few officials walked forward to address Master Magaera as well.
'That’s right. Choosing the next emperor is a huge deal. How can you be so careless about
it?"
"The late Emperor had always been kind to you, Master Magaera. He declared Aurin as his
successor, but now you're crowning Prince Auten? Why would you turn your back on his
royal decree?"
The lectures sounded through the air endlessly. Master Magaera's expression darkened,
and he said coldly, "You're not wrong. The late Emperor did declare for Aurin to be the
next emperor. But nothing was set in stone; nothing was confirmed.
"I think Auten's a much better pick than Aurin is in terms of values, conduct, and skills."
Lunaris General could not help the scoff that escaped him. He looked Master Magaera
dead in the eye. 'Magaera, are you seriously saying Auten would be a better emperor than
Aurin? You're joking, right?"
"Prince Aurin is well-read and well-behaved, and the emperor also favored him. He’s the
most suitable candidate."
"You seem to be going against your past beliefs today, hellbent on supporting Prince Auten
in taking the throne. I think you just want to gain power and control through him, am I
right?"
The surrounding broke out into chatter instantly!
Master Magaera had always been loyal to the late Nine Heaven Emperor. Yet, he had gone
against the late Emperor's wishes, so many were suspicious of his behavior.
Master Magaera's face flushed an ugly red as he struggled to find a response. He did have
ulterior motives in giving Prince Auten the throne- he wanted to see more of Empress
Heidi. However, it was hard to keep his anger in check as Lunaris General jeered at him.
Master Magaera also had not expected the usually easy-going Lunaris General would
speak up against him in public like that!
The atmosphere in the room grew heavy.
Then, Prince Auten stood up and slammed his fist onto the throne, glowering at Lunaris
General. "How dare you, Lunaris General? Are you saying that I'm not fit to be king? Who

Prince Auten had always had a rebellious streak and used to abuse his power to treat
everyone around him with arrogance. He was furious when Lunaris General humiliated
him. His gaze flashed murderously.
"My prince..."
Lunaris General did not panic in the face of Prince Auten's rage. He responded calmly, "I
don't mean to disrespect you at all. You're competent in your abilities but still lacking
compared to Prince Aurin. I'm only saying this with the Godly Region's future in mind."
"You-"
Prince Auten almost exploded with rage. He pointed at Lunaris General, trembling as he
roared, "You're looking to die, aren't you?"
Lunaris General's expression remained impassive.
Then, Master Magaera said in a low voice, "Let me handle this, Prince Auten."
Master Magaera glared at Lunaris General coldly. "I've made my mind up. This is not up for
discussion."
Yet, Lunaris General did not budge. "What gives you the right to decide who takes the
throne, Magaera? Are you trying to abuse your power?"
