Chapter 4332
"Diego!"
Jedidiah's expression was ashen as he asked Diego, "What happened here? What are you doing here so late at night? Who
wounded you this badly? Also, where is Khloris?"
The other sect members' gazes landed intently on Diego. They seemed to be waiting for an answer from him too.
Diego took a deep breath, speaking weakly, "I was out making rounds tonight when I heard a noise from the water
dungeon, so I came to see about it. I saw Olive trying to help Khloris escape when I got here!"
Diego's expression was utterly solemn as he spoke, but his chest throbbed with uncertainty.
He could not tell them that he broke into the water dungeon and tried to take advantage of Khloris. He could only lie about
it. 1
"Olive came back?"
Jedidiah frowned lightly. "And she took Khloris with her?"
"Exactly!"
Diego nodded, putting on an expression of shame and anger. "I tried to stop her, but Olive
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtseems to have learned sword skills from somewhere else. She was a nightmare. I was no
match for her, and she stabbed me."
What?
Jedidiah's expression shifted as he exclaimed in shock internally.
Olive's skills were not even good enough to be considered average in the Sword Sect. Yet
she had just maimed his most skilled follower. 1
Just as Jedidiah was pondering that, he said, "Master, I think Olive learned her sword skills
from that Dart fellow."
That man again.
Jedidiah clenched his fists, trying to hold back the anger in his chest."
Send out orders to hunt for Khloris and Olive. See that they are captured and brought back
to me no matter what."
"Yes, Sect Master!"
Sensing Jedidiah's rage, the sect members scrambled to acknowledge the command and
hurried out of the water dungeon.
Jedidiah was positively livid, and his face was an ugly shade of red. The man named Dart
had hurt so many of his sect members, and Olive had wounded Diego. 1
That man's sword skills were truly astonishing. He would have to acquire those skills, and
he would do anything to have them.
"Master!"
When Sienna saw the look on his face, she said, "Don't worry, Master.
Khloris can't have gone too far. Have you forgotten that you destroyed her cultivation at
the square? She's as good as useless now. Even if she managed to get down the
mountain, she could not have gotten too far."
As she spoke, Sienna could not help but cast a look at the feeble-looking Diego. "Senior
Brother's had his heart vein injured. It's important to treat him now."
Jedidiah grunted in acknowledgment as the ashen look on his face cleared slightly.
Meanwhile, around 80 kilometers northwest of the Sword Sect was a lake, and next to the lake was an old manor.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe manor had been a place for wealthy businessmen to rest until three days ago when the Five Poison Sect had taken over
and began to use it as a secret base. After Kendall led the Five Poison Sect members to the Great East, she began to look
for a place to set camp. Finally, she settled for the manor. 2
Just then, in the manor's main hall.
Kendall was clad in a deep red dress; she oozed charm and beauty. Yet she did not look to be in her best state as her skin
looked a little pale. She was also in a horrible mood.
Ever since they had set up camp in the manor, Kendall had begun interrogating Skylar on how to incorporate the fiend soul
energy. She had asked a good number of times, but Skylar had responded to nothing. He refused to say a single word.
That angered Kendall to no end.
It had been three days, and Kendall could feel the fiend Soul energy had begun to mess her body up slightly. If she did not
take care of things once and for all, she might be plagued with endless problems.
A little more than ten elite cultivators stood before Kendall. They bowed their heads nervously.
"Sect Master!"
One of the cultivators stepped forward, bowing to Kendall. "Skylar Blanc refuses to say anything. I don't think we should
waste any more time on him."
"I heard that there are many skilled doctors here in the Great East. I could catch a few of them for you. They might be able
to help you out."
