Chapter 4209
Creak...
Finally, at midnight, Jewel heard the door open. Her heart pounded as she moved to get up. Yet, at
the sight of Yvette's outfit, she stopped short.
Yvette had taken off the dress she usually wore and swapped it out for an all-black outfit. She looked
incredibly mysterious. It was like she was traveling in secret.
Jewel dodged to hide as she pondered that.
"Sister Yvette is behaving strangely by the day. Wearing all-black garb in the middle of the night?
What is she up to?"
As she mumbled to herself, she saw Yvette soar into mid-air, taking off toward the city's north.
'Let's see what's going on.'
Jewel did not hesitate. She moved to follow her swiftly.
Yvette landed in an old temple in Mid City a few minutes later. The temple was extremely
dilapidated, filled with overgrown grass. It was clear that no one had visited it in a long time.
Jewel still did not show herself then, choosing to watch silently from the sidelines.
Yvette had traveled with Darryl many times in the past and had seen many things in the world. From
how Yvette was dressed, she could tell that she was on her way to meet someone. 1

Just then, in the old temple.
Yvette made a round in the yard. Her heart pounded at the sight of the barren space
around her, but she managed to muster up the courage to call out, "Where are you? Are
you here?"
A short peal of laughter rang through the air following her words. It was closely followed
by a handsome figure emerging from behind.
He was clad in white and oozed charisma.
It was Skylar.
What?
Jewel jerked in shock from her hiding place behind the temple. Her brain buzzed furiously,
drawing a blank.
Yvette was meeting with Skylar?
What was going on?
Skylar was one of Archfiend Antigonus' minions and one of the High Master's biggest
enemies. When had Yvette gotten close to him?
Even though she was shocked, Jewel wanted to get closer to find out more about the
situation. Yet she feared Skylar's strength and kept her distance.
"Right on time, Miss Lane."
Skylar landed in front of her with a broad smile. "You got here just as I did."
Yvette could hardly care for small talk. "What do you want from me this time around?"
If it were not for the second half of the Reverse Fiend Soul Takeover spell, she would never
have agreed to meet Skylar.
Skylar chucked, getting straight to the point. "Not much, just need your help with a little
something!’ 1
"What is it?" Yvette's features remained utterly unmoving.
She had known from the start that Skylar would never have asked to see her without a
purpose.
Skylar smiled lightly. "Let me tell you a secret. Lord Kenny and the New World Royals have
joined the fiend race. Lord Kenny is leading his troop of soldiers to attack the North Moana
Continent. They set out half a day ago."
What?
Yvette trembled when she heard the news. She stared at Skylar, shock all over her face.
Skylar was powerful. He had managed to convince Lord Kenny and the New World Royals to join him

That did not sound right.
Yvette's eyes flashed as a thought came to her as she mumbled to herself. She glowered at Skylar.
"Did you and Lord Kenny set up that trap for me to fall into when we were at the New World Royal
City, Skylar Blanc?'
Since she had the facts, Yvette was smart enough to figure out how things had happened.
Skylar's appearance when she was trapped in the New World Royal City had been far too lucky to be
a coincidence. The only answer was that he had planned for it with Lord Kenny.
Err...
Skylar's expression stuttered slightly at the questions. Then, he marveled about that to himself.
Yvette was an intelligent woman, from how she had managed to learn the truth with just one
sentence from him.
Yet, Skylar did not care enough to explain. He smiled and said, "You're a bright one, Lady Lane. No
point talking about that now, anyway. After all, you're one of us now."
Skylar's smile disappeared from his face, replaced with a stern expression. "I need you to set out
immediately to help Lord Kenny take down the North Moana Continent. Don't worry. I won't need you
there the whole time-just enough for them to get past the Hazel Hen Gate and the royal city."
The Hazel Hen Gate was the North Moana Continent's most heavily guarded entrance. It opened to
the border. The palace needed no further explanation. Taking down those two places would
undoubtedly wreak great havoc upon the North Moana Continent.
