Chapter 4134
Meanwhile, Darryl lay in the stone room motionless at the fiend camp as he tried to restore his energy.
He had a fairy soul and the power of Bird Ancestor, but Morticia's numerous lashes had done enough to render him half
dead.
Just then, there was a sound from outside the room. He thought that Morticia had returned, so he hurriedly glanced at the
door. Yet it remained shut, and no one entered the room.
It was then that Darryl realized there was another room adjacent to his. The noise had come from next door.
Darryl got up with much difficulty after realizing that and limped toward the door. He looked through the crack and was
shocked by what he saw.
Morticia was in the hallway, and her expression was cold. A few Demon warriors were behind her as they dragged a
bloodied figure with them. 2
The figure was completely drenched in red, and his face was deathly pale. His eyes were shut, and it was clear he was
unconscious. His body ended at his knees; both his calves had been chopped off. He had stopped bleeding, but the
exposed bones sent chills down one's spine.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIt was Oliver.
■Him?
Darryl's chest pounded upon the realization, and his mind was blank. At the same time, he
was confused as well.
The man was the Black Tortoise King's son and someone of considerable status in the
Demon tribe. What had happened to him for him to end up in that state?
Did he run into the fiend tribe and get fatally wounded from their attacks?
Just as Darryl pondered about that, Morticia nodded. The fiend warriors dropped Oliver and
left him in the stone room with a dull hum.
"Wake him up." Morticia stood at the entrance as she spoke lightly.
Two fiend warriors fetched a bucket of cold water immediately. They walked to the
entrance and emptied the bucket onto Oliver's body.
Oliver jerked into consciousness. He sputtered and shivered as he gasped for air.
He froze in shock when he saw his surroundings.
Where was he?
Had he not fallen unconscious on that mountain?
When he spotted Morticia at the door, the sight made his shock grow even more. His
breath fell short.
What a beauty!
She was perfect. Her looks, figure, and charisma were worth a hundred times that of Leia
and her sister. 1
Morticia sensed Oliver's stare and bristled uncomfortably.
At the same time, one of the fiend warriors rushed forward. He stepped on Oliver and
yelled, "How dare you look at Honorable Fiend Martyr like that! You must be looking for
death!"
What?
Oliver's heart pounded. He stared at Morticia. The panic in his heart grew by the second.
That beautiful, charismatic woman was a Fiend Martyr?
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAmidst his shock, Oliver lowered his head. He dared not steal another look at Morticia, mumbling fearfully, "Please calm
down, Honorable Martyr. I did not mean to.”
Morticia's features remained unmoving. She stared at Oliver. "Who are you? What is your status in the Demon tribe? Why
were you unconscious on that mountain?"
Oliver's insolence had angered Morticia, but she did not bother finding fault in it. She needed to know if that amputated
man would be of any use to her.
Next door, Darryl pricked up his ears as well. He also wanted to know what Oliver would say.
"I..."
Oliver’s expression was one of frustrated grief as he rasped in a weak voice. "I was attacked. I framed Darryl Darby, and the
White Tiger King banished me from the Demon tribe. His daughter and her subordinates humiliated me greatly. They even
sliced off my legs."
Finally, Oliver shivered as he thought of what had happened to him.
Oliver would never have told Morticia the truth if he was only banished from the Demon tribe. Oliver had intended to return
to the Demon tribe. However, after Mon cut off his legs, he wanted nothing more than revenge.
All Oliver wanted was to avenge his tragic fate and return what had been done unto him to Mona, the White Tiger King, and
the entire Demon tribe.
