Chapter 4003
"Not running anymore, I see? Why'd you stop?"
"This is karma, Veron Lange. You betrayed the Sect Master and attacked him unwarned, and now you have
nowhere to run! This is the price you have to pay, serves you right!
"That's right! Follow US back, and face the sentence the Sect Master will impose on you!"
The mocks of the crowd rang on and on. Veron's face flooded with indignance and rage.
She bit her lip, facing the crowd of Five Poison Sect disciples. Coldly, she threw out, "I betrayed Skylar Blanc? He
killed my mother. That is nigh unforgivable. I was doing him a favor just now by sparing his life."
"Going back with the lot of you? I'd rather die before that happens! It
With a flash, Veron charged into the crowd.
"Surround her!"
"Yes, let's ambush her all at once!"
Seeing Veron still daring to retaliate at this point, the disciples began battling with her with a loud cry.
It was still manageable for Veron at first, but that quickly changed.
The disciples were beginning to lose their patience as well. F*ck, there were so many of
them up against one woman and still taking this long. How shameful!
"This won't do, let's use the poison bug!"

Someone had shouted out amidst the kerfuffle. Everyone seemed to agree with it, each of
them retrieving a large spider from their bodies and throwing it in Veron's direction.
The spiders were the size of a fist and dark red in color. They bore the shape of a crescent
on their backs.
The spider was called the Blood Widow, a venomous insect only found in the Five Poison
Sect. The Five Poison Sect were the most well-versed with venom, and that was no
different with housing venomous creatures. Every venomous creature they housed was
terrifying enough to bring about fear in the nation, especially the Blood Widow. It was
considered to be one of the most evil creatures.
One bite from the Blood Widow was enough to send its venom along the veins of the
heart, spreading it through the entire body. It could even affect one’s psyche, causing
them to lose their mind.
It was safe to say that the Blood Widow was sufficiently terrifying.
Veron's eyes blazed with further fury at the sight before her.
These Five Poison Sect disciples had truly gone too far, using venomous insects to
compensate for their own incompetence.
These spiders were nothing but evil, it was deathly important to proceed with caution.
As Veron grumbled to herself, the Blood Widows let out a series of hisses. Venom flew
from their fangs as they pounced.
At the oncoming attack, Veron had no choice but to call upon her long saber, she slashed
left and right, blocking the oncoming attacks of the Blood Widows.
As a member of the Hidden Hero Sect, Veron was more than skilled with swords. The Blood
Widows had no chance at latching on under the twirl of her long saber. Yet eventually her
strength began to dwindle, and Veron's hand began to slow down.
Finally, a few Blood Widows saw the opportunity and pounced from behind. One of them
landed on Veron's back, sinking its fangs into the juncture of her shoulder as it spread its
venom.
In an instant, Veron felt her mind draw a complete blank. A numbness began to travel
through her body.
Crap!
Veron gulped, knowing she had been poisoned. She glared around her with rage,
wrenching off the few Blood Widows on her. Yet her body had begun to tremble, and she

could hardly hold herself upright.
"Ha ha..."
The surrounding disciples were victorious at last, cackling with glee.
"You've been poisoned by the Blood Widow, Veron Lange! Any moment now and you'll drop!"
"Give it up, stop struggling..."
Veron's face darkened infinitely at their jeers.
"You disgusting good-for-nothings! Out of my way!"
Just then, Veron howled into the air. with all the strength left in her body, she pulsed a final wave of energy into
the air, pushing the crowd before her away.
The wave had called upon a deafening cry. All that could be seen was Veron's body jerking once, before fresh
blood sprayed from her mouth. That move had well and truly drained up the last of the internal energy in her
body.
The Five Poison Sect disciples were not unaffected. They, too, staggered backwards as a result.
Without a shred of hesitation, Veron made up her mind, she took the chance to turn around her, diving off the
cliff.
Veron had always been a fighter, she would die before she succumbed.
What?
At what they saw, the faces of all the Five Poison Sect Disciples changed. They rushed over in an attempt to stop
her, but it was already too late.
