She was still in shock and had never expected to stumble upon a dragon in the cave.

Cullen coughed a few times and it was obvious he was seriously injured from the attack. Then, he struggled to

stand up.

“Cousin, this dragon is too powerful. There's no way we can fight it. We need to think of a way to escape! ” he

said anxiously to Madeline as he looked around.

‘Escape?’ Madeline almost cried at Cullen’s suggestion. The cave was huge and it was like a maze. How on earth

would they figure out where to go?

Darryl, who was next to them, looked calm as he pondered what to do while staring at the dragon.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Suddenly, the dragon got up and ran towards them. Its huge figure was like a small hill

and with every step it took, it produced an earth -shattering noise. It was terrifying to

hear.

Cullen and Madeline were panicked and anxious as the dragon slowly approached them. In

the next second, Cullen thought of a way out. He activated his saint energy and slammed

the sword in his hand on the cliff next to him. Suddenly, pieces of rock tumbled down and

formed a stone wall, blocking the dragon. However, it also trapped Darryl.

‘F*ck! Cullen could’ve given me a warning earlier.’ Darryl frowned secretly at the sight.

"Cousin! Why did you trap Darryl on the other side? Quick! We need to save him,"

Madeline cried at Cullen, feeling anxious.

The dragon’s power was too terrifying and it was hard to imagine what would happen to

Darryl since he was trapped with the dragon. However, Cullen was indifferent.

“Cousin, why are you so concerned about his life? He had nowhere to run anyways, so why

not let him distract the dragon for US so we can buy some time to escape,” he said

seriously with a devilish glint in his eyes.

Cullen had trapped Darryl deliberately so that Darryl would be the dragon’s target. Once

the dragon got hold of Darryl, it would no longer chase after Cullen and Madeline.

‘He’s so selfish, he sacrificed Darryl’s life to buy US time,’ Madeline thought.

big, scary mouth wide open.
