Now, when Madelyn talked to Zach, her tone was indifferent. Even the disdain in her eyes seemed to have

vanished.

Madelyn treated him as if he were invisible. She grabbed a dry towel and left the room. Instead of going to the

master bedroom, she went to the art room.

Tonight, she still had to work overtime to complete the project.

Perhaps, due to the influence of alcohol, Zach felt a strong emotion that he could not restrain. Usually, he was very

good at self-control. But when Madelyn ignored him and left, he could not control his emotions.

Madelyn had just grabbed a piece of drawing paper when Zach suddenly entered the art room and grabbed her.

The paper was torn in half during the process. She was shocked, “What are you doing?!”

As soon as she finished her sentence, she was pressed against the floor-to-ceiling window. She still had not fully

processed what was happening when Zach started to kiss her.

After some struggle, Madelyn stopped moving, realizing she could not move Zach. She just waited for him to finish

kissing her.

When Zach sensed that Madelyn gradually stopped struggling, he opened his eyes. What he saw was her tightly

closed eyes and furrowed eyebrows. Even without looking into her eyes, he knew Madelyn could not avoid him

further and could only reluctantly accept the situation.

The passion Zach felt slowly faded away.

care about Dalton.

Zach stopped kissing her, and Madelyn pushed him away. Suddenly, she felt nauseous, with acidic liquid rising in her

mouth. She could not bear it any longer. She then ran out of the art room to the bathroom in the master bedroom

and began vomiting intensely.

Madelyn leaned over the toilet and vomited all the carrot ginger soup she had just drunk.

When she noticed Zach approaching her, she extended her hand to stop him from coming

closer.

Zach stopped three steps away. He noticed she looked very uncomfortable as she vomited.

After Madelyn stopped vomiting, she was very weak and could not get up. Zach carried her and laid her on the bed.

Madelyn was panting weakly as she put her hand on her chest.

Zach said, “Are you feeling unwell? I’ll have a doctor come and check you.”

Madelyn responded, “No need. My body is fine; it’s just a psychological issue. Seeing a doctor won’t help.”

Zach knew very well that her severe vomiting could not be due to pregnancy. That was because they rarely had

sex.

Madelyn would react this way whenever he touched her. Eventually, she could no longer accept him physically and

mentally.

She said, “You must be very busy with the new project, so you can stop wasting time on me. I still need to work

overtime tonight. Can you stop bothering me?”

Zach held Madelyn’s wrist as she got up from the bed. His eyes were gloomy, “The contract with SkyNet

Technologies is crucial for Jardin Corporation, so please stop throwing a tantrum like a child. I’m a businessman, and

only benefits matter. We can still shoot our wedding photos next time.”

He was holding back his emotions, but Madelyn was very calm. She fearlessly looked at Zach and coldly said, “I

understand. I’m not throwing a tantrum. Just let go of me!”

She tried to remove his fingers, but he was very strong. She could not free herself if he did not want to let go.

Madelyn could only stop resisting.

She said, “I’ve made it clear that I don’t care! Can you let go of me?”

“Liar!” Zach’s gaze was intense.

Madelyn responded, “I’ll go with you if you want to take the wedding photos. The marriage license, my identification

card, and other documents are all with you! Zach, what else do you want me to do?

“Can you please just leave me in peace?”

After Madelyn shook off his hand, she quickly left.

She was lost in her thoughts, ‘Thirty billion dollars? Even if he earns three hundred billion dollars, it’s none of my

business.

‘Zach and I are different kinds of people. Cecilia is the only one who can help him with his career. With the

memories of her past life, she can help Zach become stronger and more powerful. Everyone is greedy, and he is

Madelyn did not return to the master bedroom that night. Instead, she focused on what she wanted to do.

morning.

Suddenly, someone called her. Madelyn hesitantly answered the call when she saw the familiar phone number.

Kai was surprised, “You haven’t slept?”

Madelyn responded, “What’s the matter?”

Kai replied, “Nothing much. I just wanted to ask if you’re feeling better.”

nothing else.”

Kai could guess that Zach and Madelyn had argued.

Kai said, “Check the news about Jardin Corporation; you might be surprised. Madelyn, Zach

was indeed a jerk in the past. But is it possible for you to try to accept him? It might not be a bad idea to let go of all

past grudges…”

Madelyn was not interested in listening to him. She cut him off, “Just remember that you

promised to help me leave. As for the rest, don’t interfere. You owe me!”

Kai paused for a moment before saying, “Don’t worry, I remember.”
