Was Romeo being a jerk just now? But that surely couldn't be enough to steam Sean up like this?
"Is this the guy you're engaged to?" Sean looked incredulously at his sister. "He's so stingy, so disrespectful, and he takes
advantage of you. How can you even consider marrying him?"
Arabella's gaze shifted towards Romeo. Stingy? Disrespectful? Taking advantage?
"Sean, you've got it all wrong."
Before Romeo could even begin to explain, Sean cut in, "Have the guts to step out from behind my sister and face me."
"You wanted to see sreal progress, didn't you?" Romeo finally spoke up.
"I was talking about the kind of progress that happens slowly, with feelings warming gradually. | didn't say you should get all
handsy and cozy that fast!"
So this was what had ticked Sean off?
"Chere." Sean looked like he wanted to punch Romeo. "What, you chicken? You scared?"

"Bella, I'll talk to Sean."
"Talk, yes, but no fighting," Arabella stepped aside, her beautiful eyes watching them intently.
Her words forced Sean to unclench his fists, darn it. That Romeo, he'd find a way to give him a piece of his mind one of these days.
Steward, standing to the side, wasn't quite sure how to intervene, especially since Mr. McMillian was being so outrageous, so over
the top.
It was normal for Sean to be protective of his sister.
As Sean stormed off, he gave a chair a vicious kick. "Can someone kill the damn sound effects already?"
The theater was still playing screepy horror movie soundtrack.
Steward immediately got in touch with the staff to turn it off.
The lights con too.
The whole theater finally lit up.
Sean moved to the side steps, glaring at Romeo.
"Con, spill it. Why were you glued to your phone during your date? Leaving my sister all by herself?"
Images flashed through Romeo's mind, but not a single one involved leaving Bella hanging.
"The hell are you waiting for?" Sean was raging but caught his sister's eye and backed down a bit. Was this guy still scrambling to
cup with a lie?
"Are you talking about at the diner?" Romeo remembered. That was the only the had glanced at his phone.
"What else would it be? Or are you tellingthere were other times you left my sister on her own?"
"I was discussing something about photos with Bella," Romeo said with a light chuckle, explaining, "I took spictures of her and
sent them to her, so she could keep them."
Steward was taken aback, he had thought Mr. McMillian and Ms. Bella lacked common ground, and that Romeo was perhaps
browsing thefor conversation topics. Turns out they were sharing photos.

Photos on a first date?
Sean was pondering this while also itching to give Romeo a piece of his mind. But then, Bella's gaze softened him a bit. "A
McMillian, living so frugally. | could overlook the modest three-course meal, but taking leftovers home, and then making my sister
pay."
Not too far off, Arabella pitched in, "I paid using his card."
Sean and Steward were both surprised.
"He gavea card with no spending limit a long tago. | never used it until today. He brought it up, so | thought | might as
well."
Her words stunned Sean and Steward. Had they misunderstood Romeo?
Romeo wasn't stingy?
A no-limit credit card? That was more than generous!
"I asked for the leftovers because you added those dishes to the order. | hate waste, so thanks, Sean." Arabella walked up to her
brother, a smile playing on her lips.
"How did you know those dishes were added by me?" Sean questioned and then looked back at Romeo. "Did he tell you?"
