Chapter 2405
If Alyssa wanted to ensure that Ivy’s name was taboo, it would have been the simplest option.
However, for Ivy, a starlet in the limelight, it wasn’t necessarily the best move. Being an actress, her
future hinged on those very fans who flocked to the box office to catch her latest flick. Such a decision
could potentially tarnish her reputation with the general public.
Besides, anyone with half a brain knew you couldn’t afford to alienate the online community. They held
grudges like nobody’s business.
“I’m an old lady out of touch with these trendy matters. Do you have any suggestions?” Alyssa inquired.
“To be frank, if you simply wish to keep Ivy Dunhill out of the public’s mouth, it should be a piece of
cake for you without us lifting a finger, I reckon you’ve sought us out because you’re hoping we can
clear Ivy’s name,” Leo said confidently.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAlyssa’s face broke into a satisfied grin, nodding in agreement. “Of course, I want you to clear Ivy’s
slate, but I’m aware it’s a tricky situation. The only eyewitness is currently slinging mud at my
granddaughter-in-law. Do you really think someone like that would overturn their previous statement to
vouch for Ivy? Even if she recanted her story, claiming it was all lies, the online crowd might still
suspect we bought her off. It could backfire spectacularly!”
Alyssa’s concerns were valid; after all, many harbored a disdain for the affluent.
She could understand why some had extreme viewpoints, but she’d be damned if she let them harm
Ivy.
Leo flashed a grin, exuding confidence. “Rest assured, this is our expertise. It’s a bit of a pickle, sure,
but not impossible. Once we draft a plan and it passes muster with you, we’ll execute it. Our priority will
be to safeguard Ms. Dunhill’s reputation and give the something to chew on.”

Alyssa was pleased, “That’s the spirit. There’s a hefty bonus in it for you once we succeed; you won’t
be toiling for nothing.”
When Alyssa spoke of a hefty bonus, she meant business, and the team left in high spirits.
Quinton entered to tidy up the office.
“Quinton, where’s Balfour? He’s not in the office, is he?” Alyssa asked, reclining in the executive chair,
her gaze coolly fixed on Quinton.
Quinton bowed his head, unsure if he should answer.

“What’s wrong? Can’t a grandmother inquire about her grandson’s whereabouts?”
“I didn’t mean any disrespect, ma’am…”
Despite the Alyssa’s stern tone, Quinton, remembering Balfour’s prior warning, remained tight-lipped.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“Let’s wait for him to report back himself,” he said.
Though Quinton hadn’t spilled a bean, Alyssa didn’t take offense. In fact, she seemed to respect his
loyalty.
She needed reliable people like him around Balfour.
“Fine, I’ll ask him when he’s back. But do inform your CEO that his granny is at headquarters and
wants him to make haste.”
Deep down, Alyssa had her suspicions.
The lad was probably with Mara again, and she dreaded the thought of her grandson falling for that
manipulative woman’s wiles.
She had to issue another reminder, lest Mara, in her scheming ways, decided to spice up his meal with
something more sinister for her own ends.
