Chapter 2070
Ivy was at her wit’s end. Ever since joining the cast of the show, she had filmed numerous scenes, and each time
she thought she’d grasped the essence of her character. But the next script would always prove her wrong.
“The lead… she’s a complex character,” Ivy mused aloud, not really talking to anyone in particular. “I thought she
was just a typical, innocent high school girl But the scenes we’ve done tell me she’s not. She’s internally strong and
brimming with imagination and courage. So, I think when she first meets someone from abroad, she shouldn’t
come off as timid.”
Colton, the director, laughed heartily as he watched Ivy passionately dissect her character. “You’re spot on, Ivy. But
think about it, can’t a bubbly, youthful high school girl be a bit shy when she first meets a foreigner? Shyness

Ivy nodded, a bit dazed. “So, when I play her, I should…”
“Ivy, that’s for you to decide with your gut feeling. You’re the lead, not me,” Colton pointed out.
His words were an epiphany for Ivy. She was the one breathing life into the character, and it was up to her to bring
out the charm that the script didn’t capture.
Why had she previously thought that the leading character’s initial reserve around strangers was fear?
It could be shyness, curiosity, or caution.
Giselle, standing at a distance, watched Ivy and Colton’s animated discussion. She could see the admiration and
satisfaction in Colton’s eyes, as if he had indeed discovered a rare talent. The scene filled her with envy. That role
should have been hers!
She should be the one chatting with Colton, not Ivy, who came out of nowhere!
Ivy didn’t deserve any of this..
Meanwhile, Giselle’s gaze shifted to a script lying on a chair-reserved for the lead actress, with Ivy’s name scrawled
across the cover in colorful markers.
She thought to herself with a scheming smile, “Let’s see how talented you really are. I’ll expose you in front of
everyone and show them choosing you was their biggest mistake!”
And then, as if on cue, the script disappeared from the chair.
“Hey, where did my script go?” Ivy returned, intending to jot down some fresh insights to flesh out her character
more during the filming, but it was gone.
Anxious, she knew that without her script, which had been personalized for her, she couldn’t just use someone
else’s. It had all the latest changes and notes.

The rest of the crew began frantically searching. “Weren’t you just discussing the scenes with Colton? Didn’t you
take it with you?” they asked.
Ivy shook her head, her face clearly distressed. “I took the script from the previous episode. I didn’t bring the next
one. I left it right here on the chair! Did someone take it by mistake?”
A crew member couldn’t help but grumble, “How can you just leave such an important document lying around?
Now that it’s lost, Colton’s going to have our heads.”
His comment was clearly a jab at Ivy.
But Ivy had left it in her own spot, not thrown it carelessly aside. How could she have known it would vanish?
As her heart raced with worry, another actress gently tugged at the complainer’s sleeve, urging, “Hey, cut it out.
No one wants this to happen. Let’s just find it, okay?”
