arms, where belief in her was unconditional.

Ivy didn’t want to keep dumping her messes on them.
“Is it urgent? If it’s not, I’d rather not head back. There are things I need to attend to here, so it’s not
convenient for me to leave.”
Balfour’s brow furrowed without him realizing it. “I’ve already sorted out your leave with the crew. Don’t
you want to go home anymore after moving to the dorms? If Granny’s calling us back, it must be for

“What really happened in the restroom that night?”
Ivy attempted a smile, but it was a lost cause.
“I’ve already explained it to you before. Didn’t you say you didn’t believe me? If you doubt my words,
why bother asking again? Don’t worry, I won’t drag you or Mara into this. I’ll find the evidence to clear
my name on my own.”
