Chapter 1818
Tracy had reached her breaking point with him. “Fine! See you in court then! I’ve been married to you for years and
bore you a daughter! You think you can just toss me out without a penny?! I have evidence of your numerous
infidelities on my phone! You’re the one at fault, and we’ll see how the court rules!”
Arnold was furious, and he pointed at her furiously. “You greedy woman, you…”
Tracy laughed heartily. “Greedy? As if you’re one to talk!”
“You…”
Sheila couldn’t believe it had come to this. She stood up to mediate between her parents, but they only started

Back at the church, the reception was just starting.
Ida and Veronica had settled the three children and had saved a seat for Ellinor.
Ellinor sat down, trying to calm her nerves.
All three little ones were eyeing their mommy.
“Mommy, did you go out?” Baber asked.
Adrian also asked, “Mommy, where did you go?”
Layla also chimed in. “Mommy, why are you just getting back?”
Ellinor was still trying to compose herself. She was not really in the mood to explain her recent departure to meet
their grandmother.
In a room full of chattering people, Ellinor brushed off the children’s questions.
The three little ones, understanding their mom was not in the mood, didn’t press the issue.
But Veronica, always the curious one, leaned in close and whispered, “Ellinor, I heard from Belinda that Sophia
showed up earlier. Did you go deal with her?”
Ellinor glanced at Veronica. “She did come, but I didn’t go to deal with her. Now’s not the time.”
Veronica frowned. “Then where did you go, Ellinor? You missed part of the reception.”
Knowing Veronica’s persistent nature, Ellinor patted her cheek. “We can talk later.”
The impatient Veronica wanted to know now and was about to say something.

But Ellinor threw a curve ball to change the subject. “Veronica, have you noticed a man selling balloons around our
house lately?”
Veronica paused, then nodded. “I’ve seen him a few times. Why, Ellinor?”
Ellinor narrowed her eyes. “Be careful of him. Don’t let the kids approach him or buy balloons. There have been a
lot of child abductions lately. We need to be careful.”
Veronica agreed. “I thought he was strange too. There are never any vendors in our area. But don’t worry too
much, Ellinor. No one would dare kidnap any Blanchet child!”
Ellinor gave her a wry smile. “Hmm. Your brother, a grown man, was kidnapped. And you’re still so confident? Be
careful!”
Veronica was taken aback. “Oh right… Okay, Ellinor, I’ll be careful. I’ll also inform the staff at home.”
“Good.”
After the wedding reception, the close friends teased the bride and groom until late.
By the time they got back to the Blanchet Villa, it was nearly midnight.
