Chapter 1267

Sophia noticed that Thed’s attention wasn’t on her. She hesitated for a moment and then said, “Hey, Theo! If it’s

okay with you, I’d like to invite Ellinor as well. Our first meeting wasn’t exactly peachy, but I’d still love to be friends

with her. What do you think?”

Theo only looked at Sophia again when he heard her mention Ellinor. “Why are you so desperate to be friends with

her?”

Sophia grinned. “Well, since we’re friends, I should be pals with your wife too, right? Then we can hang out

together!”

Theo squinted. “Maybe, but you might be the only one thinking that way”

Sophia blinked in confusion. “What do you mean? Don’t you think Ellinor would like that too?”

Theo looked at the bandage still on Sophia’s forehead. “If she thought the same as you, she wouldn’t have laid a

finger on you yesterday.”

Sophia touched the wound on her forehead. “Oh, that! I would’ve totally forgotten if you hadn’t mentioned it. Theo,

I really don’t mind. I can understand Ellinor. I mean, I’m a girl and we’re friends, so it’s normal for her to get a little

jealous when she sees you with other girls. It’s water under the bridge; I still want to be friends with Ellinor!TM

Jealous?

Theo scoffed. He didn’t believe for a second that Ellinor had attacked Sophia out of jealousy. She had acted out of

pure annoyance and dissatisfaction.

Who could make her jealous?

Sophia felt she had overstayed her welcome. If she stayed any longer, she might annoy Theo. It was all about

knowing when to call it a day.

Theo gave her a slight nod without getting up to see her out.

After watching Sophia leave, Theo’s eyes fell on the fruit on the table.

Ellinor never thought of him, let alone brought him some fruit to eat.

He barely existed in her mind.

Ellinor sneezed several times in a row and rubbed her nose. “Who’s badmouthing me?”

Chase/walked in after knocking on the door. “Boss, I heard you sneezing. You’re not catching a cold, are you?”

He put his hand on Ellinor’s forehead to check her temperature and was relieved when he found that it was normal.

“I’m fine, so go back to work! Stop avoiding your duties and leaving everything to Ida. She’s competent, but she’s

also just a girl.” Ellinor waved him off as she reprimanded him.

Chase shrugged. “But I’m in a bad mood today. I don’t want to go to the office!”

“You’re in a bad mood? Who pissed you off?” Ellinor raised an eyebrow.

Chase sat next to Ellinor, playfully resting his head on her shoulder. “That niece of Mr. Blanchet! She’s ignoring me.”

Ellinor’s mouth twitched. “Good for her! Why on earth should she bother with someone like you?”

Chase grunted. “Boss, it’s one thing when others misunderstand me, but how could you? I’m actually very

sentimental at heart.”

Ellinor got goosebumps all over.
