“Leon, I’m sure you know I’m not lying to you now. I do like you. As long as you’re willing, I can be your
girlfriend,” Cynthia said shyly. Her heart beat rapidly, worried that Leon would reject her.

He always treated Cynthia as a good friend, and never saw Cynthia in that light.
