Chapter 300 After dinner, Aurelia headed to the training ground.
It wasn't hard to acquire these skills, as long as you had the guts.
Whenever she thought of the enemy hurting her child, hatred surged like a mighty river, giving her the strength to be neither soft-hearted nor soft-handed.

Russell arrived, his tech team had traced the IP address of the email. It was almost certain that the sender was a hacker named Dupal, probably hired by the enemy. Dupal had been arrested two days ago.
Arnold asked gravely, “Who arrested him?” “We haven't found that out yet. Our rivalry is very mysterious, possibly part of a mercenary organization,” Russell replied.
Arnold's eyes darkened, appearing as unpredictable as a stormy night.
“I see. Send someone to the border office to check all the records of babies coming from our country in the past two months.” Russell nodded, “Yes.” Arnold glanced at Aurelia, who was engrossed in her shooting practice, her ears protected by muffs.
He walked out, asking in a low voice, “Did the people you sent to watch Marcia find anything?” Russell replied, “She hasn't had any contact with Eldoria, but she’s had several secret calls with someone in Freysland, all at night. | tracked the numbers, they're all payphones.” Arnold rubbed his chin, his expression pensive, “Keep an eye on them. Inform me of any findings immediately.” “Yes.” After Russell left, Arnold returned to Aurelia, gently patting her shoulder, “Let's call it a day. Don’t overdo it.” Aurelia put down her gun.
After a shower, she sat on the couch with a glass of milk.
She was exhausted, but sleep eluded her, Her thoughts were filled with her child.

Arnold sat next to her, “Don’t worry too much. As long as their goal isn’t achieved, the child is safe for now.” Aurelia took a sip of her milk, her brows slightly furrowed, “Their target is Leopold. They want to use the baby as leverage. If he doesn’t respond, they might take desperate measures.” That was her biggest fear.
Arnold pondered for a moment, “If they were just common criminals looking for ransom, they might harm the baby. But they definitely want more than money. Keeping Liam alive is more beneficial for them, since he’s Leopold's child.” This thought comforted Aurelia slightly.
If it were just about money, Leopold wouldn't refuse. What he never lacked was money. But t hey wanted something Leopold could never give.

Arnold stood up, walked over to the liquor cabinet, and poured a small glass of whiskey with a couple of ice cubes. Coming back, he smiled faintly, “You trust me that much?” “Yes, | trust you.” She looked at him with wide, sincere eyes, “I believe that no matter what disputes you and Leopold may have, you wouldn't hurt him. After all, you two are blood-related brothers. Plus, you were with me in Willowbrook at the time!” Arnold's hazel eyes glinted subtly under the lamplight, appearing incredibly deep.
He swirled the whiskey in his hand, speaking in a low voice, “Even if Leopold was gone back then, | couldn’t have become the heir. My mother was already dead, and unless Jessica Stirling adopted me, | wouldn't have a claim. But why would she do that? If she were to adopt anyone, she would choose Fredric, the son she raised herself.”
