Chapter 308 Just for a Hot Spring
Jack was furious. He couldn’t believe his youngest daughter would be so callous and
insensitive. This is fault. I should’ve been stricter on her.

Edith patted his shoulder. “Calm down. We’re at a hospital. Be quiet. There’s an operation
going on inside.”
Jack held back his fury and plopped down on a chair beside him. Edith took Stephanie into
a corner and whispered, “Why don’t you go home for now? Everyone’s tense, and it’s
normal given the circumstances. You were a bit insensitive back there.”
“I don’t know what I did wrong. I just wanted everyone to relax. The surgery is already
underway. Getting nervous is not going to help.” Stephanie still thought she did nothing
wrong. In fact, she thought she was treated unfairly, and she left.
Edith wanted to stop her, but she gave up and heaved a sigh. She then turned around and
saw Amanda staring at the operating room, as still as a statue. The poor girl. Edith
approached her and patted Amanda on the shoulder. “Don’t worry, it’ll be fine.”
“I know,” said Amanda, but she didn’t look at Edith. Her eyes were glued to the operating
room.
Taylor was sitting around, waiting for his sister to come out. He too was worried about her.
If he had known waiting would be so arduous, he would have gone in Rosie’s place.
Two hours went by, but it felt like an eternity with every moment a torture for the people
waiting outside. Finally, the doors slowly opened up, and out came the doctor.

Everyone stood up and huddled closer. Amanda asked, “So, how did it go?”
Everyone else waited for the answer anxiously. The doctor was used to this scene. Calmly,
he took his mask off. The transplant went smoothly. Now it’s time to see how the patient’s
body reacts to it.”
Everyone heaved a sigh of relief, thanking God for a smooth operation. Touched and
relieved, Amanda. shed tears. The other doctors pushed a sickbed out of the room and
made their way to the ward. Quickly,” she went after them.
Elias followed suit. They wished to see how their son was doing.
When Rosie was pushed out, only Taylor was waiting for her. She looked at her brother and
weakly said, “The transplant went smoothly, Taylor.”
Taylor stayed by her side and helped the nurse push her toward the ward. With sarcasm
dripping in his voice, he said, “Yeah, it was, and all they care about is the brat even
though you’re the one who helped him. If it weren’t for you, the kid would have been dead
by now.”
“Don’t say that, Taylor. The child is innocent.” Rosie was upset, actually. She thought that
Elias would at least wait for her.
Taylor scoffed. “Not Elias, however. He’s the reason you look like a mess, and you helped
his son after all that. Don’t tell me you fell out of love with him. There’s no way you have.”
Rosie said nothing.
“This is plain masochism, sister. Did your stay in the rehab center mess your brain up? So
what if you granted them their wish? No one’s going to thank you, you fool. Taylor was
disappointed in this part of his sister. If I had known, I would have taken her place.
When they went past the ward, Rosie noticed that Elias and Amanda were inside, looking
like a loving couple. If she didn’t know better, she’d have thought they had gotten back
together.
The sight of this scene infuriated Taylor even more, and he pushed his sister away quickly.
If she sees that for a moment longer, she might go mad. All she had to face was rejection,
but now she has to watch them being in love.
There’s no way she can take this.
Once back at the ward, Taylor changed the subject. “What would you like to eat? I’ll get
the chef to make some soup for you. You need to heal up.”
Taylor.”
“What is it?” Unbeknownst to him, Rosie was going to start her plan now, and he would be
her pawn again.
“I feel weak, and I’d like to soak in a hot spring. Do you know anywhere quiet, natural, and
private?”
Um… Taylor fell into silence. Yeah, that’s practically Winters Estate. The hot spring at
Winters Estate was designed by a famous designer. It was open-air, uniquely designed,
and very natural. It was said to be good for the body too. So that’s what she was gunning

“And you want me to bring this up to him? You went through so much just for a hot spring
trip place?” Taylor could guess what she was up to. She could only get close to Elias if she
was at his place. Using her favor to his son as a reason to approach him was effective too,
since he couldn’t refuse or run
away.

Taylor heaved a long sigh and left the ward. He closed the door, thinking that his sister still
hadn’t let go of her obsession with Elias yet. I wonder what she’s up to this time.
Dusk came. Elias was planning to go home to get a file and ask the chef to make some
soup for Aiden. Just as he was about to get in his car, Taylor stopped him.
“A minute, Elias.”
Elias turned around, and Taylor slowly approached him. “What is it?”
“Going home?” Taylor asked.
“Yes. I have something to do, and I need the chef to make some soup for Elias. I’ll tell
them to make one for your sister too.” She did save Aiden’s life, so Elias didn’t want to be
too callous.
“No need for that. Our chef can cook something for her. However, I have something else I
need your help. with. Only you can do this,” said Taylor.
Elias looked at him curiously. “What is it? Out with it.”
“My sister’s really weak now, so can she stay at your place for a bit? She needs the hot
spring there. Everyone knows your estate’s hot spring is one healing well, and it’s going to
help her big time.”
Elias couldn’t say no, or he would be heartless.
Taylor got impatient. “It’s just a simple request, and you still need to think about it? Not
like I’m asking you to marry her. She just wants to use the hot spring. She saved your
son’s life, and she can’t even have a hot
spring session at your place?”
“Alright, she can. Tell her to come to the estate after she’s discharged.” Elias got into his
car and revved it up, then he left.
Taylor saw him off. As the taillights disappeared into the distance, he muttered, “This is as
far as I can help. you, sis. You’re on your own now.”
