Chapter 203 A Domineering Elias
Presently, Amanda was at her home in Northern No. 1. She didn’t go to the law firm in the
past few days, nor was she in any mood to head out.
The door was pushed open. Selina had picked up the child and returned. When she saw
Amanda spacing out on the couch, she said to the child, “Go and play with your toys,
Aiden. I’ll go to you later.”
“Sure.” Aiden obediently went to play with his toys so that Selina and Amanda could have
a talk.
Selina put down her purse and sat down on the couch before calling out, “Amanda?”
The woman didn’t react to her. She seemed engrossed in her own little world. Selina
wondered what was on her mind. “Amanda!” she called out again.
“Yeah?” Amanda finally came to her senses. Upon registering Selina’s presence, she asked
with a smile, “When did you come back? I didn’t hear the door opening. By the way,
where’s Aiden?”
A helpless Selina shook her head. “You were just deep in thought. Aiden is playing with his
toys now. Are you alright? You’ve been muddle-headed for the past few days. Did anything
happen?”
Amanda replied calmly. “Elias’ grandfather rolled down the stairs and passed away.”
“My goodness! How did that even happen? Mr. Winters must be distraught now.”
It was imaginable how tough it must have been for someone like Elias, who was proud and
unwilling to show his weaknesses.
Amanda put on a dejected smile. “I was the first one who discovered his death.”
Selina stared at her with disbelief for a moment before asking tentatively. “Does Mr.

suspect that
Amanda shook her head. “It’s not him. It’s other people. However, I feel that he’s doubting
me as well, but he’s forcing himself to trust me. That’s because all the signs show that Old
Mr. Winters’ death has something to do with me. It was too coincidental. As I recall the
incident that day, I even start suspecting myself—”
Before she could finish her words, Selina took her hands and said, “Amanda! Stop
imagining things. There’s no way you’d do such a thing. You’re a lawyer, so you
understand the consequences of murdering someone. You’re clever enough not to do that.
Moreover, you’ve been saying that when you were in Winters Manor, Old Mr. Winters
always took good care of you. I don’t believe you’d ever kill him.”
Amanda was startled as she looked at Selina and asked, “Why do you trust me so much?
Perhaps I committed a crime on a whim. When a person is agitated, they would do
anything. Moreover, I thought. Old Mr. Winters was hiding Aiden from me at that time.”
“You still wouldn’t do that. You’re not that kind of person. I don’t think you’d ever do such
a thing.” Selina -replied steadfastly.
Amanda couldn’t help but put on a smile, her eyes welling up with tears. It felt wonderful
to have a friend who trusted her unconditionally.
However, when she recalled Jennifer calling her a jinx and Oscar claiming her to be the
murderer at the funeral, she felt awful. Even though she was a lawyer, she felt powerless
to refute them. In fact, she also felt there was something fishy about Howard’s death.
Why would he roll down the stairs out of nowhere?
Inside the club, Danny Parsons sat down on the couch with his legs crossed and looked
arrogantly at the bodyguard beside him before saying, “Why did Elias ask me to come
here? Is he going to apologize to me? Haha. He must be afraid because he knows that
we’re the biggest shareholder now. Is he going to submit to
us?”
Elias’ bodyguard had asked Danny to come to the club, and he had been listening to his
nonsense for the past 30 minutes, which was why he was annoyed.
Seeing that the bodyguard ignored him, Danny snapped. “Hey, I’m talking to you! Are you
deaf? Why did Elias even hire a bodyguard like you? It’s like talking to a dead person!
Damn it!”
All of a sudden, the door was pushed open. Elias entered the room and said, “Since you
find it frustrating to talk to my bodyguard, do you want to replace him and be my
bodyguard, then?”
Following that, he unbuttoned his jacket and sat down on the couch.
Yacob entered the room as well and stood beside Elias, taking over from the bodyguard.
He sent a signal to the bodyguard, who nodded and left before closing the door.
It had to be said that Elias was naturally imposing. He was always intimidating to the
people around him, not the other way around.
Danny subconsciously straightened up and placed both feet on the ground.
He had always been afraid of Elias. The fact that Howard was impartial toward Elias made
him feel aggrieved. Now that Howard was gone and his mother had acquired all the
shares, he could finally be confident in front of Elias.
At the thought of this, he realized there was no longer any reason for him to be afraid of
his cousin.
As such, he leaned against the couch again and crossed his legs, looking haughty. I’m
worried you can’t afford to hire me to be your bodyguard, Elias. After all, Grandpa’s shares
are all given to my mom. Haha!”
Elias squinted and looked at the clown in front of him before saying grimly, “Do you think I
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmhave no idea. how your mother even obtained those shares? You guys even had the guts
to alter the will. Are you sick of living?”
The smile on Danny’s face froze in an instant as he glanced anxiously at him. “W-What
nonsense are you spouting? We didn’t alter the will. You can’t accuse us of something
we’ve never done. It was a will created by Grandpa. Mr. Glover is the witness, and
everything is in black and white. Do you want to play any tricks. or something?”
Elias sneered and placed a cigarette between his lips before lighting it.
“I’m not only going to play tricks, but I’m also going to snatch everything that’s rightfully
mine back. I’ve asked you to come here to tell you all this so that you’ll go home and tell
your mother to give me back. things that don’t belong to her. I won’t settle the score with
her since we’re relatives. However, if she doesn’t repent, don’t blame me for going hard
on her.”
With that, he put out the cigarette in the ashtray and got to his feet before leaving the
room.
Danny fell into a dazed state for a moment. When he saw the man leave, he continued to
play dumb. T
have no idea what you’re talking about. Fliss What do you mean when you say things that
don’t belong to us? Are you talking about the shared? They were given to us by Grandpa.
We didn’t force him to give the shares to us. Stop spouting nonsense, will you?
He still wanted to reason with his domineering cousin. But Elias was so out of tight as the
door closed behind himi.
