Chapter 521
“Friendship first competition comes second.” She Iried to Indoctrinate them. “It’s fine if you don’t get
first place.”
Both males turned to look back at her with disapproving looks.
“Mommy, don’t you dare hold us back!” Aster “wamed” her.
Larissa was a bit angry, “Fine, I won’L” She turned to leave. “Have fun on your own, you two! I’ll be
going now!”
“Hey-” Kevan reached out quickly to stop her.
Larissa was unable to pull the leg she put out in time, and her body fell back from the momentum right
into Kevan’s broad chest. Kevan wore a thin sports t–shirt, so his protruding pecs were rather obvious.

before she hurriedly straightened up and put some distance between herself and Kevan.
A lew mothers nearby let out cries of amazement. Those who were familiar with Larissa came over to
tease her. “That scene earlier was totally from a ty show!”
Larissa’s blush deepened.
The first station Aster chose was the sack race. One stepped into the sack, holding on to the top of it
before hopping forward as fast as one could. Then, one would tum back at the turning point
approximately 164 feet from where they started and go back to the starting
The whole family had to participate in this activity, and it utilized a relay mode, comparing the time it
took for participants to return to the starting point. The shorter the time, the higher the points gained.
Kevan had already decided on the order of their placement, Aster was the first hopper, Larissa the
second, while he was the last hopper- where it would be convenient for him to adjust his speed based
on the first two hoppers‘ condition.
The other families basically had a similar sequencing too.
The kids competing with them in the same group were practically all older kids. Aster did not have an
advantage over them, but his competitive spint was strong. When they started, he was already the
second last hopper, but he gained on the other kids in the middle of the race through gritted teeth.
When he got back to the starting point, he was only just a few milliseconds slower than the first kid.
Larissa could not help but applaud him–but that resulted in her starting later than the other participants,
and she was left behind by three mothers at once.
“Go, Mommy! Go! You can do it! Aster screamed.
Larissa exerted all the energy and strength she could to hop forward, holding her breath even as she

and hutting while her body ached, her body weakening at once.
The other mothers were not any better either. Their round could be described as ineffectual struggling.
Larissa wanted to give up several times, thinking that she would rather just scoot herself back to the
starting point. But when she thought of Aster’s hopelul gaze, she forced herself to move her heavy
body.
She was about to reach the finishing point in third place. The goal was right there, but she was unable
to hop up when she tugged on the sack, and her body pitched forward uncontrollably.
The screams of the people nearby were shrill and loud. Larissa closed her eyes in hopeless ear when a
pair of strong and steady arms caught her. The pain she anticipated did not come, and she was held
suspended several inches off the ground.
“Woah!” A wave of exclamations diew
attention of others as they came over to see what was going on.
Larissa frantically got to her feet with Revan’s help. She had not regained her balance when Aster
pointed at the other fathers who had reached the turning point and urged Kevan, “Daddy, hurry!”
