Zachary was enjoying his time watching the argument through the monitor in the staff’s office deep

inside the café. When he heard Crystal’s scream, he immediately scratched his ears. Wow, her scream

is really loud. He felt as though he was going to be deaf when he heard her scream through the

headphones.

On the other hand, Trevor was worried about Emma meeting Crystal alone, so other than asking Annie

to protect her, he came here early this morning, following her too. And since Zachary always liked to

watch the fun, of course, he would tag along.

Both of them could see and hear the acrimonious argument between Emma and Crystal clearly through

the monitor.

It was quite obvious that Emma had the upper hand throughout the argument, and she didn’t even lose

once.

But it was out of Zachary’s expectation that Emma would say things like ‘sleep with me every night’.

When he heard Emma’s words, he took off his headphones and teased Trevor, “Sleeping with her

every night? You really have good stamina, Trevor.”

Trevor’s gaze was fixed on the monitor, and he spoke without looking at Zachary. “Why? You’re getting

weak already?”

Zachary was speechless upon hearing that. Does he need to be this mean?

At the same time, Trevor’s mouth turned dry when he heard what Emma said. He couldn’t help

reminiscing about the three years of married life with her.

In fact, saying that he would sleep with her every night he was home was not wrong, but it was actually

not as often as it sounded.

He was always busy with work, and he would be working out of town once a month for at least a week.

And after deducting the one week of her period every month, the time they were together was only half

a month.

Although he would sleep with her more frequently for the few days when he just came back in town, the

time when they were apart each time he worked out of town was actually quite long. So for Trevor, it

On the other hand, after getting splashed with Emma’s coffee, Crystal was screaming while wiping off

done with you yet!” she shouted anxiously.

The first thing Emma did after splashing the coffee on Crystal was take a few steps back and distance

herself from the latter. Who knew whether Crystal would get mad and jump on her again?

Annie, who was on the side, was walking toward them while pretending as though nothing had

happened. If Crystal dared to do anything to Emma, Annie would be able to stop her immediately.

While giving a cold-eyed stare to Crystal’s mess, Emma said coldly, “You’re the one who wanted to

splash the coffee on me first, Crystal. I’m just fighting back.”

If she didn’t fight back, she didn’t know how much longer she needed to be bullied; if she didn’t fight

back, she would be the one with coffee in her face and look like a mess.

After Crystal finally wiped off the coffee on her face, she pointed at Emma and was ready to lecture her.

But Emma started talking in the nick of time. “I think I need to remind you that you’re here today to

apologize to me.”

Everything Crystal wanted to say was stuck in her throat. How could she be subservient and apologize

to Emma when she had fallen out with her? She had already tried her best not to rip Emma apart.

Pissed off, she turned around and grabbed her limited edition handbag before leaving on her high

heels.

At this moment, Emma reminded her calmly, “I’m only giving you three chances. Three strikes, and

you’re out.”

Hearing that, Crystal stomped her heels even louder.

As soon as Crystal left, Annie laughed out loud, with no holds barred. “Wow, Emma! You’ve really

become a bad*ss since the last time I saw you. It felt so good to see Crystal had nothing to say to

rebuke.”

Before Emma and Trevor were divorced, Annie had gone to study abroad. It was unexpected that they

were divorced when she came back, and Emma had even gone abroad. She even changed her phone

number, so Annie couldn’t contact her at all.

It was actually quite fascinating how all the friends around Trevor had a good impression of Emma.

As they were chatting, Trevor and Zachary walked toward them from not far away. When Emma

realized Trevor was there, she was shocked at first and then felt so awkward that she wanted to find a

hole to bury herself.

D-Did he hear those things that I said to Crystal just now? She said those things about him sleeping

with her were just to attack Crystal, and she didn’t think that Trevor would hear her…

She secretly glimpsed in the direction where Trevor and Zachary came from and saw in the direction

that it was an office quite far away from her. The door is closed. He definitely didn’t hear me. She

When Trevor walked toward Emma, he stood in front of her and asked her with concern, “How are

you?”

“Why are you running away?”

Seeing this scene unfolding from the side, Zachary smiled cheekily while Emma pulled back her arm

awkwardly.

“Let’s have lunch together,” he suggested suddenly, after looking at the time.

However, Emma rejected him instinctively. “Don’t count me in. I need to rush back to see Minnie.”

Unexpectedly, he looked her in the eye and changed his mind. “I’ll go and see it with you then.”

She didn’t know what to say when she heard that. For what, though? He doesn’t even like animals. At

this moment, her thoughts came out of her mouth. “I don’t think it’s necessary. You don’t like animals,

anyway.”

Trevor was feeling quite embarrassed after getting rejected by her again and again, so he replied

coldly, “I didn’t like you previously, either.” But look at me now, being in love with you! People change!

However, Emma was enraged and glared at him in disbelief. “Are you comparing me with cats and

dogs?”

Zachary and Annie. Without hesitating, Trevor followed suit.
