Chapter 124 Only You
Brisa and Connor stood aside, and they were stunned.
Radley watched as Freya leisurely smashed the window. Not long after, the person inside couldn’t take it anymore
and ran to the window to open it.
“What do you want?!”
Freya stood in the sun, looking up at the old man with white hair. “Mr. Lane, I want to talk to you.”
Brandon was so angry that he glared at Freya. He was a thin old man with a bit of stubbornness. “Is this your
attitude when you want to talk to me?”
“You didn’t want to see us! This is the only way. Children’s methods are harmless, right?” Freya smiled.
mischievously.
Talented people would often have a strange temper. Freya had expected this.
Brandon was so angry that he scolded, “Smash my window again, and I’ll have someone throw you out.”
Freya blinked. “Mr. Lane, since I came to invite you, the things I bring will definitely satisfy you. Why don’t you talk
to me? If what I bring isn’t enough to satisfy you, I’ll leave immediately without making a scene. How about that?”
Brandon looked disdainful and said, “I don’t want your money. Even if you give me ten billion, I won’t do it if I don’t
want to.”
“Okay, but first you have to see what I brought; otherwise…”
“Otherwise what?” Brandon glared at her again.
Freya smiled and weighed the pebble in her hand, looking like a rascal threatening someone, but still charming
enough not to be disliked.
Brandon’s face fell. “Okay, I give up. You can come up, but only you.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtFreya happily agreed. “Okay!”
The four of them went back inside. Radley wanted to go up with her.
Freya shook her head. “He said he would only see me alone. You stay here.
She followed the butler to the third floor and stopped in front of the door of the corner room.
The door was left ajar, and Freya knocked lightly.
Brandon’s voice came. “Come in!”
He was sitting on the sofa facing the door. In front of him was an old-fashioned porcelain teapot, and he looked
displeased as he looked up and down at Freya.
“You’re pregnant. I thought you were some wild child!”
Freya smiled and sat down.
Brandon waved his hand. “Show me the thing you have brought and I will take a look. And then please don’t come
again.”
“The thing I want to show you is not an object, but a person.” Freya glanced outside the window.
“A person? Who?” Brandon asked.
“Mr. Lane, I heard that your wife has an illness. I know two doctors-one who is proficient in traditional medicine, and
the other is the internationally renowned Professor Harlan, Freya said.
Brandon’s lazy eyes suddenly became sharp. “Professor Harlan?!”
Freya nodded. “Yes.”
Brandon stared at Freya for a while, stunned. “Are you saying that if I help you repair that pavilion, you will invite
that professor to come and treat my wife?”
Freya nodded, then shook her head after thinking for a while.
“What do you mean?” He asked with widened eyes.
“If you’re willing to accept our invite, I’ll invite Professor Harlan to come and treat your wife,” she said with a smile.
“But if you don’t want to, I’ll still ask Professor Harlan to come to give your wife a consultation. I mentioned the
name just to show sincerity.”
Brandon fell silent and stared at Freya for a while before sighing softly. “Actually, I have already seen the pavilion
you sent over. I’m very interested. Although the craft of tenon-and-mortise joints has been passed down through
history, there are very few buildings made with this technique. Most have become relics and can’t be studied in
detail. But I can’t leave now. My wife’s health is getting worse every day…”
He trailed off and his voice trembled.
“It will take more than just a few days to restore the tenon-mortise pavilion. Even if everything goes smoothly and it
is completed quickly, it will take two or three months to repair. I’m afraid that if I leave, my wife will.”
He didn’t finish the sentence, but Freya understood what he meant.
Freya even felt touched.
She spent an hour talking to Brandon before coming down.
Radley was waiting for her in the living room on the first floor and stood up as soon as he saw her.
“How did it go?”
Freya shook her head.
“It didn’t work out? Then it’s fine.” Radley tried to comfort her.
But she smiled. “It’s a deal, but we need to wait for a week.”
“A week is fine. But how did he agree to it? Radley asked.
“I promised to introduce him to a doctor who can examine his wife and send her test results to the doctor.. The
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmdoctor should be able to treat her. Freya said.
“A doctor?” With Brandon’s status and knowledge, what doctor hasn’t he already hired? Radley frowned.
“It’s Professor Harlan,” Freya said after she saw Radley’s frown.
Harlan?
Radley’s gaze deepened. How did Freya know this person?
Professor Harlan was a world-famous doctor, sought after by many medical research institutions.
Foreign countries had even offered him a sky-high annual salary, excellent conditions, green cards, houses, and
cars to entice her to immigrate, but he had refused them all.
He was a very mysterious legendary figure in the medical field.
Freya called Brisa over. “We can go back now. I’ve got Brandon’s number. We’ll contact him later. But we might
have to stay in Lagresh for another week.”
Brisa had already adapted to the weather in Lagresh.
“No problem. We can stay as long as we need to,” she said with a smile. She would just take it as a vacation.
It was rare to be able to relax when carrying out her mission.
Brandon was still most concerned about his wife’s condition. After Freya mentioned that she could find. Professor
Harlan for him, he sent all of his wife’s medical records to Professor Harlan’s email address given by Freya.
At noon. Freya finished her lunch and looked at the medical records on her laptop.
Brandon’s wife had a rare and stubborn illness that was difficult to cure with normal medicine.
Freya had encountered one or two cases like this before and traditional medicine could help. She remembered a
prescription in The Compendium of Medical Wisdom that could alleviate this condition
Freya wrote down the prescription and gave it to Brisa to arrange for the traditional medicine to be sent from
Caltun.
