Chapter 121 Blunt Compliment
The next day at noon, Brisa drove with Freya to the airport, and they boarded the plane together.
Freya found her seat and sat down. Because she stayed up all night, she was tired. She then lay down and dozed
off.
Brisa’s seat was on her left, and with her there, Freya felt at ease and soon drifted into a deep sleep.
She didn’t know how long she had slept when she woke up to a very familiar smell.
The cold, aloof smell of a man was mixed with a fragrance, and it filled her nose, making her dizzy yet mesmerized.
In a flash. Freya became alert and sat up suddenly, realizing that she was covered in a men’s woolen coat.
Looking to her left, she saw that Brisa was still there, but to her right….
“Radley? Her eyes widened instantly.
Radley was holding a file, and when he heard Freya’s voice, he just glanced at her.
He looked at Freya’s face, not missing a single detail, and when he saw the dark circles under her eyes, he spoke
softly. “Get some more rest. We won’t be in Lagresh for another two hours.”
Freya’s eyes widened even more. “That’s not the problem. Problem is why are you here?”
The reconstruction of West Geft is a work affair. The Monaghan Group and the Kaufmann Group are in cooperative
relationship. If there is a problem and we need to ask for help, then it’s only natural that both of our companies go
together to show our sincerity.”
Freya gritted her teeth. No matter what Radley said, she could only listen to him.
Now that he was already on the plane, she couldn’t just ask him to leave!
Two hours later, the four of them landed at the airport in the capital of Lagresh.
Radley only brought Connor with him this time, and Freya only brought Brisa.
As soon as the four of them came out of the airport, Brisa, who was pushing the luggage ahead, sneezed.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtRadley looked at Freya. “Are you cold?”
Freya pursed her lips. She knew that Lagresh was very cold, but she didn’t expect it to be this cold!
Freya rubbed her hands quietly and, before she could say anything. Radley took off his coat and put it on
her.
She hesitated for a moment and didn’t refuse.
Fortunately, someone had been waiting to pick them up in front of the airport as Connor had made the
arrangement in advance.
The four of them got into the car, and Freya turned to ask, “Where are we going now? Have you booked a hotel
The car started to move. Although there was a heater in the car, Freya still felt that her hands and legs. were cold
even with Radley’s coat on.
She braished her hands together, lightly exhaling
An hour later, the car arrived on a beautiful street. The street was not wide, with bungalows standing on both sides.
Freya stared at the bungalows in front of her and couldn’t speak for a long time.
“You said you booked a hotel, right?”
Freya looked at Radley.
Radley’s voice was calm, and there was no sign of the wolf hiding in sheep’s clothing.
“I have a house here so there is no need to stay in a hotel. It’s safer.”
Freya had no choice. It was already getting dark, so she had no more choice. She was really freezing here.
The four of them entered the bungalow, Freya simply cleaned up and went online to check out the routes.
The Vincent Residence was in the capital of Lagresh, but it was three hours away from here by car. It was already
too late to go now.
It was already afternoon now, and it wouldn’t be polite to visit someone at night. Freya planned to visit Brandon
tomorrow morning.
Freya had just been in her room for a while when Connor came and knocked on the door. “Miss Kaufmann, the food
is almost ready.”
Freya was now staying in someone else’s house, so she was polite and courteous. She soon went downstairs. after
responding.
Downstairs, the two maids in the living room looked like locals but spoke Florin fluently.
“Miss Kaufmann, this soup is specially prepared for you by Mr. Monaghan. Pregnant women can have it
100.
The two women were full of curiosity about Freya’s belly, and they were treating her as Radley’s wife.
But Freya didn’t say anything, and it was not easy for her to explain, so she just thanked them and took a sip of the
soup.
The warm soup went into her stomach, and Freya felt much more comfortable.
After a while, Radley came out of a room on one side and nodded at Freya. “Feeling better?”
Freya held the soup. “Thank you.”
Radley sat across from her, his gaze filled with concern. “Do you want me to call a doctor to check on you? You
might have caught a cold this afternoon.”
Freya shook her head and smiled. “It’s okay. I am not that weak.”
She had practiced martial arts after all, and her body was much stronger than the average person’s.
When Connor and Brisa returned from shopping for daily necessities, the four of them went to the dining
room.
At the dinner table, Freya ate while telling Radley about their plan for tomorrow morning.
“We will leave at 8 o’clock tomorrow morning, so that we can arrive at the Vincent Residence at 10 o’clock. Even if
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmwe wait for half an hour, we can still meet Mr. Lane by 10:30. We’ll talk to him about other things. first, and have
lunch together at noon. See if he has any demands or wishes that we can fulfill”
Freya rambled on and said, “According to my investigation, Mr. Lane doesn’t have much desire for wealth, so yeah,
we’ll see if he has any requests.”
Radley lowered his gaze to cut his steak and occasionally glanced at Freya.
When she worked, her eyes always shone brightly.
Freya was very smart as she knew how to find someone’s weakness and was well-versed in the politics of the
business world.
Freya realized that Radley was staring at her while she was talking.
She narrowed her eyes. “What’s wrong?”
Radley chuckled softly. His voice was deep and hoarse. “Nothing. I just think you’re very charming when
you work.”
His blunt compliment almost made Freya choke on her food, and she glared at Radley.
Radley had been taking care of her all this way, and Freya was grateful, so she kindly reminded him. “Radley, what
we had is in the past. Doesn’t matter if we’re business partners or ordinary friends, but 1 hope you don’t cross the
line between us.”
Radley’s eyes flickered slightly, and he said after a while, “Okay.”
After finishing dinner, the four of them went back to their rooms to sleep.
As soon as Freya returned to her room, she felt dizzy from a headache because a gust of cold wind blew on the
back of her head at the airport earlier.
The next morning, at nine o’clock.
Freya seemed to hear someone calling her name constantly. She frowned and opened her sleepy eyes, only to see
Radley’s tense face and eyes filled with anxiety.
