Chapter 2290 - Strange

"Strange!"

Said the Grimm as he looked at space from where it had gotten the distressed signal from less than a minute ago; it had come as soon as it could, but now it had appeared, there was no sign of jafrt.

"Are you sensing anything?" I asked mres beside me, but he had too shook its snakehead.

Both of them have activated their abilities but did not see any signs of a fight at all. There is not a single fluctuation of the flared aura, as jadrt just disappeared out of nowhere; it is very strange.

"Look for any spatial signs," said the Grimms and activated his spatial sensing abilities, and to its surprise, it did not sense anything.

Usually, the signs of spatial travel did not disappear for hours, and when special abilities activated, they became clear as day, but he is seeing nothing. Not a single signs of spatial sign could be seen.

"There are only two things such way," said mres, and I nodded; I know what things he is referring to, and just thinking about them, my eyes couldn't help but burn in rage; these two things give us trouble, especially the latter.

"Micheal Zaar could kill without leaving a proof, but chances of it coming here so far without creating a single spatial disturbance is quite hard, near impossible, I might say," Mres said as it looked around.

"That leaves us those from Dark Tower; those bastard barely leave any proof," Mres added.

The Dark Tower is a very secret force of humans that had appeared in the last epoch war. A very scary force that helped those bitches, nearly destroy us. If we did not have that, we would have been wiped out from this world.

Not many Grimm Grandmasters know about this scary enemy; even among humans, barely a few know about it.

For thousands of years, we have tried to send our spies there, but not a single able to get the slightest information about this, much less infiltrate. Even after such a long time, we did not have more information about this secretive organization than a few pages.

"So, what do you think? Will they be successful in killing it without any disturbance?" Mres asked suddenly.

"It will die today, without doubt; even if we have to sacrifice our precious pawn to kill it, we will do it," I said. My answer did not surprise Mres; instead, he nodded in understanding.

"Micheal Zaar is dangerous, especially those wretched artifacts he made using our essence. They would bring terror if it was able to create them through the Grandmasters essence," Mres said.

I shook my head, hearing that, "It had likely succeeded in doing it, and that is why we could not let it live longer," I replied.

Today would be the day Micheal Zaar will die; not only it but another human, who is more talented than Micheal, will also die; we have made far greater preparation to kill it than we have made for the Micheal Zaar.

"Let's leave. We will make the forensic team do the detailed analysis here," I said and opened the spatial tear before stepping inside it.

Step!

I stepped back into my quarters with Ashlyn with a smile on my face. The hunt had been successful, and now it was time to reap its rewards.

It had been barely a minute since I had got the Grimm Monster, and it is still getting harvested in my core. The harvesting is nearly finished; it won't be long before the Grimm Grandmaster turns into the husk.

Eight seconds passed by, and the Grimm Grandmaster turned into the husk and a second later, the strengthening energy released.

An ecstatic smile couldn't help but appear on my face seeing that. To get this, I had taken a risk and sent Ashlyn away in search of the prey; every day, she would scan through the large area before moving to another.

I had even taken the help from the secret intel of Pyramid, and though Ashlyn found many Grimm Grandmasters through it, they were not a perfect prey that I could want. All of them were in a place where I could not kill them secretly as I had killed this Apeman.

With the strengthening energy, the jitters I have been feeling had finally lessened. I also feel calmer more confident in dealing with anything that Grimm Monsters throw at me.

The second passed, and my body absorbed more and more energy, and soon, a minute and a half passed when a change began to occur in my aura. From the initial leader, my aura begins to transform mid-leader, which is equal to Mid-Grandmaster.

When I was elite, I needed to consume tens of Master bloodlines before I could advance to mid-Elite from Initial Elite, but here I only needed three Grandmasters and a few lower powerhouses bloodlines.

The reason for that is because the Bloodlines of Grandmasters are very powerful; they are very close to Bloodline core. The advancement each one of them gives is immense; the only sad thing is there are very few Grimm Grandmasters with bloodlines.

Which is also good news. If there had been too many Grimm Grandmasters with Bloodline, we would have suffered a lot in the war, even lost it.

Another minute has passed before all the strengthening energy has been digested, perfectly stabilizing me with mid-leader class Tyrant aura.

I quickly looked inside my core and saw the resources filling the trees again and couldn't help but feel relieved.

In this past month, in order to increase my strength, I have used them indiscriminately that for a moment, I had feared I might use them all without leaving anything, thankfully this time not happen now for some while.

I am happy, but one thing has made me slightly disappear.. The fruits of the essence tree, all of them are still in Master class; I had thought at least one would be able to reach Grandmaster class, but nothing of that sort had happened.
