115. An attack
‘You can’t go out. Alpha’s order.’
‘You can’t go out. Alpha’s order.’
‘You can’t go out. Alpha’s order.’
Those words rang continuously in her ears, hammering her head hard. Not only her heart, she felt as if her heart was hammered
hard and broke into small pieces. Her heart thudded inside her chest, knocking all the breath out of her lungs. She found it hard
to breathe. She found it hard to stand on her feet and almost lost her balance but handled herself at the right moment, before
she could fall down.
“No...no...no... it can’t happen again. It can’t happen. He can’t misunderstand me. He can’t do this to me after all these! He
can’t! He can’t!” She mumbled to herself while shaking her head to make her believe her own words.
She didn’t know what to feel at that moment. She felt numb, unable to think of her next steps. Her wolf was whining in her head,
unable to believe that their wolf got them locked in a dungeon.
But slowly Athena felt anger growing inside her as she thought more and more about it. How could he?! How dare he?! He
distrusted her again?! She was not going to forgive him this time, not after he dared to lock her up here.
Her hands clenched tightly beside her as she slowly felt her body again. She slowly gained her strength and senses back. She
started to think straight again and she knew what she was going to do now She was going to ask him for answers. She fucking
her.
“Luna, please. You can’t leave the place until the alpha says so.” The guard said in a requesting tone. His tone was mixed with
helplessness and anxiousness. Was he afraid of Dominic? Well, Dominic should be afraid of her now!
“Let me out.” Athena said with gritted teeth. She said that in a cold and dangerous tone while looking the guard in the eyes. Her
tone was capable enough to make the guard shiver but he still didn’t let her go.
“I am so... sorry, Luna... But the alpha’s order-....” He couldn’t even complete his sentence when Athena cut him off.
“Fuck your alpha’s order! I say fucking open the door!” She growled, with wolf’s tone mixed with hers. Her eyes turned
completely red, her wolf was at the surface.
And that was enough for anyone to cower away. The guard started to shake in fear while sweating badly in a blink of an eye. He
couldn’t abide by the alpha’s order anymore.
“S...su..sure..., Lu... Luna...” He stuttered badly before turning around to unlock the door and
stood away to let her walk out. And she did exactly the same. She walked out of the damn dungeon with fisted hands and
clenched jaw, without looking back again. “I am going to make you regret mis....” She couldn’t complete the promise she was
going to make to herself when she suddenly realised something.
She stopped at her tracks and shock dawned on her. Something was wrong. As soon as she came out of the basement, she
heard noises from outside. A lot of noises.
“What’s going on?” She asked herself in worry and confusion before quickly running out of the hallway and entered the living
The scenery in front of her shocked her some more. Everyone was running around frantically. They were all in panic. Something
was terribly wrong and she didn’t have a good feeling about it. She didn’t know what was going on and everyone was in a panic
state, so she couldn’t even ask them about it. But soon she caught a hold of a running guard and stopped him. “What’s going on
here? Why’s everyone panicking?” She asked with a deep frown, all things from earlier jumped out of her mind. “Some stupid
rogues decided to attack us, Luna.” The guard replied hurriedly and Athena’s eyes widened in shock and fear. Fear, not for her
but for her dear son. He was alone in their house! “Ace! My son! Where is he?! I have to go to him!” She exclaimed loudly in fear
and worry as she was going to run out of the pack house to go to her son when the same guard stopped her.
“Luna, please stop. The alpha heir is safe in alpha’s mansion along with other kids. They are being heavily guarded by our
special warrior team. They are safe. Please don’t leave the pack house until the attack is over to stay safe.” The guard said in a
serious yet respectful tone but no way in hell she was going to listen to him.
“If anything happens to my son, I am coming for your head. And you don’t have to worry about me, take care of the people in the
pack house. I am going out. Don’t try to stop me.” She said, using her ‘Luna’ tone which he couldn’t defy. So, all he could do was
bow down to her respectfully while she walked away.
She walked out of the pack house to see there weren’t many rogues. Hardly twenty or something. She doesn’t think it was a
serious attack as everyone from the pack was fighting in their human form only. The rogues must have been hungry for days and
decided to attack the pack nearby to hunt some food. Rogues tend to get cranky and impulsive when they are hungry.
She looked around for Dominic. But she couldn’t find him anywhere. She started to look around for him, without worrying about
the rogues as she was sure that the guards would handle them. She was so lost in finding Dominic in the crowd that she didn’t
notice a hungry wolf coming toward her way at full speed.
It was almost near her when she noticed it but before she could do something, a punch landed on it out of nowhere, throwing it at
least five feet away.
“Don’t you fucking know how to follow an order?!”
