The female staff immediately quieted down and greeted her. The next moment, they all held out the lipsticks Jacob

had given them as if they were some precious treasure enthusiastically.

“Thank you, Ms. Sorelle. Jacob gave us these lipsticks. We’re elated!”

Angeline raised a brow upon hearing that. She looked at Jacob, feeling a little helpless about what he had done.

“Jacob, you’d better not spoil my staff and raise their bar of expectations too high.”

Gentleness filled Jacob’s captivating eyes as he smiled cheerfully in Angeline’s direction.

“You came right on time, Angie. Of course, I’ve prepared something for you too.”

Jacob rummaged through his assistant’s bag and took out a heart-shaped lipstick gift set before presenting it to

Angeline.

“It’s the summer limited edition. There are twenty-four lipsticks in total. I’ll give it to my fans if you don’t want it.”

“You wish.”

Angeline gave him a side-eye and snatched the gift set away from him.

Since he was giving it to her anyway, there was no reason for her to refuse a gift that was meant for her. No

woman could resist the temptation of lipsticks.

After that, Angeline showed Jacob the way to the broadcast studio. The female staff looked at their retreating backs

with palpitating hearts as they felt emotional.

“What a beautiful sight! The lead actors of The Journey are working together once more!”

“I have a feeling that the number of people joining the live stream will exceed expectations!”

“Well, that’s expected. The Journey is trending on the internet right now. Let’s do our best! I think Ms. Sorelle is way

more capable than Mrs. Yiurk. There’s hope for Forrester Group after all!”

Although some of the staff were still skeptical about Angeline’s capabilities, they could not deny that she had

managed to make the company get on the right track after she took over.

Whether she had done it through her own abilities or through connections, she made Hanson give in. She also

secured an investment from Evander and invited Jacob, a hotshot celebrity, to work with them.

Everyone wondered how Angeline pulled off all those feats.

In the broadcast studio, Angeline briefed Jacob about the beauty device. She then patted his shoulder and said

seriously, “Don’t be nervous later. You just need to say a few marketing lines to promote the product. I’ve arranged

for a co-host to introduce the product to the audience.”

“Angie, you’re underestimating me,” replied Jacob with disdain pridefully, sitting on the chair boldly with his legs

crossed. “This kind of live stream poses no challenge to me.”

“I’ll treat you to a nice meal after you’re done,” said Angeline with a laugh. She could finally relax when she saw

how well-adapted Jacob was.

Just as she had finished speaking, the door to the broadcast studio was suddenly pushed open, and in came a

young couple.

“Angie, shouldn’t you arrange for us to go live too?”

Angeline was startled when the door was pushed open so abruptly. When she realized who had just walked in, she

was astonished.

“Why are you both here?”

The two people who had just entered the broadcast studio were Quentin Easmon and Elsa Zahn, the male and

female supporting actors of The Journey. They were newbie actors who were still studying in a film school and

whose popularity surged after they appeared in The Journey.

Angeline was not close with them, as she was usually busy with filming. Besides interacting with them on set, she

had never had a meal with them before.

Why are they here now? I’m sure I didn’t invite them.

She turned to look at Jacob in confusion. “Were you the one who invited them?”

After all, Jacob had a sunny disposition. He could easily befriend the younger actors while filming with them.

However, he raised both his hands in mock surrender and showed an innocent expression.

“No way. I know you have a tight budget, so I dared not invite anyone else. Hey, you two. Care to explain what’s

going on?”

Quentin scratched his head shyly and glanced at Jacob before explaining, “Sorry for not introducing ourselves first.

We have just signed on to Golding Group. Our boss told us that we needed to do a live stream. We didn’t expect it to

be your project, Angie.”

After hearing Quentin’s explanation, Angeline finally understood what was going on. She subconsciously glanced

toward the ground floor.

A number of black luxury cars had pulled up at the entrance, and around a dozen bodyguards stood around them.

It was quite an epic scene.

Angeline massaged her temples upon seeing that, feeling helpless.

Elsa walked over to her and held her arm affectionately.

“Are you not feeling well, Angie? Has your allergy gotten better?” asked Elsa with a look of concern.

“I’m much better now. Thank you.”

Angeline smiled at Elsa, then glanced at Quentin. A troubled look slowly came over her features. After some time,

she said apologetically, “I’m really happy that you’re here to help. But as for the payment—”

“You don’t have to worry about that. Our company has already paid us,” replied Elsa with a smile.

Angeline was rendered speechless.

This is indeed Evander’s way of doing things. No wonder he agreed so readily when I asked him if I could invite

Jacob when we were overseas.

Angeline assumed that he had gotten over it somehow, but it turned out that he had made arrangements in secret.

He had invited the other actors from The Journey to further boost the hype and lessen her interactions with Jacob.

It’s no wonder everyone says he’s a sly old fox. He’s cunning indeed!

Since Evander had arranged for Quentin and Elsa to be at her disposal, she accepted them with open arms.

Angeline quickly led the two newbies to familiarize themselves with the broadcast studio and introduce them to the

products.

Fresh actors were usually energetic and committed. They listened carefully and learned the ropes rather quickly.

A short while later, Forrester Group’s promotional live stream started off with a bang.

As it was not convenient for Angeline to show herself because of her allergy, she could only watch them from

behind the scenes in the waiting room.

Angeline had hired the same co-host from the last time. The live stream had just started and the number of people

who joined shot up in a frenzy. The gift animations that kept appearing on the screen almost drowned out their

faces.

The co-host quickly said, “Ladies and gentlemen, please don’t send us gifts. We don’t need gifts for this live stream.

Jacob hopes you can save your money for yourselves.”

Even though she had made it clear, the situation in the live stream was still quite chaotic.

Jacob had to step in to keep the fans under control. The corners of his eyes lifted as he smiled charismatically.

“My sweethearts, please behave rationally. Please don’t send us any more gifts. If you have money to spare, then

have a look at our beauty devices. Isn’t it better to invest in them as they would ultimately benefit you and also help

me out? That’s killing two birds with one stone.”

With his simple but tactful words, Jacob managed to direct everyone’s focus to the product.

They were given a thirty-minute time restriction to introduce the product. The co-host got Jacob to interact with

Quentin and Elsa. Through their interactions, they further introduced the products in the live stream.

Everything proceeded smoothly. Excitement shone in Angeline’s eyes as she looked at the huge traffic in the live

stream.
