Chapter 269
Estelle smirked, “So what do you have?”
Norah was taken aback for a moment, her eyes twirling around, then slowly said, “My birthday is in a
few days.”
Estelle chuckled, “Well, that’s the opportunity you need.”
Around lunchtime, Mrs. Lamont asked the maid to call Norah and Estelle to come downstairs for lunch.
Estelle was just about to leave, so she went downstairs with Norah.
Downstairs, Mrs. Lamont greeted them with a smile, “Come here, help me choose which one of these
people is the most good–looking? Help your uncle find a wife.”
Estelle was about to leave, but when she heard this, her feet seemed to be stuck to the ground.
Norah walked over and frowned, looking at the photos in Mrs. Lamont’s hands, and said speechlessly,
“Grandma, what era is it now? You’re still looking at photos to pick a daughter–in–law? Didn’t you say
you have progressive thinking? Should you be doing this kind of old–fashioned stuff?”
Mrs. Lamont laughed, “You’re all mocking me, feeling better?”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtNorah pouted and turned her head away.
Mrs. Lamont waved at Estelle, “Ignore her, Ella, you come help me choose. You young people have a
different taste from mine.”
Estelle walked over and sat down next to Mrs. Lamont. She saw that there were several photos in her
hand, and the women in them were all beautiful. Plus, from their clothes, they all looked like rich ladies.
Mrs. Lamont smiled, “The photos don’t have those messy beauty filters. These girls haven’t had plastic
surgery, either. Ella, which one do you think is beautiful?“>
Norah scoffed, “Grandma, you even know about beauty filters?”
“You be quiet!” Mrs. Lamont hummed, then gently turned to Estelle, “Help your uncle choose one!”
Estelle seriously looked through all the photos and couldn’t decide, “I think they’re all beautiful!”
She really thought they were all beautiful. These girls were all from well–off families and received the
best education. Their looks and temperament were all eye–catching.
Norah also flipped through the photos and deliberately asked Mrs. Lamont, “If you pick one, will my
uncle just agree to your choice?”
“He might not agree, but we can introduce them to each other and let them get to know each other.
Look at him, he’s so busy every day and doesn’t even come home. If we wait for him to find a girlfriend
on his own, when will it be?” Mrs. Lamont said
earnestly.
With her head down, Estelle pretended to look at the photos seriously, but she felt a little guilty since
Jonathan not coming home every day was partly her fault.
Norah disagreed, “My uncle is such a dominant man. He is not like my father who is so easy to talk to.
You think he’d just agree to get to know someone? Besides, maybe my uncle still yearn for Yvonne in
his heart. Grandma, just stop match making!”
“That’s exactly what I’m worried about. That he will delay the marriage because of Yvonne!” Mrs. /
sighed, picked a photo and showed it to Estelle, “How about this one? She looks very cute.”
Estelle glanced at the photo and noticed that the girl looked gentle and pure, especially her beautiful
eyes – bright and clever. She nodded, “Not
bad!”

has just returned to J City.”
Estelle was looking at the girl in the photo when suddenly she heard the servant call, “Mrs. Lamont, Mr.
Lamont is back!”
Estelle looked up swiftly and saw Jonathan walking over, his suit jacket draped over his arm, his figure

“Mom!” Jonathan shouted, then looked at Estelle nonchalantly, “Ms. MacClain is here too!”

“Mr. Lamont!” Estelle greeted him politely.
“Uncle!” Norah obediently called out.
Mrs. Lamont beckoned, “You’re just in time. We were just talking about you. Come over here!”
Jonathan sat down on the sofa across Estelle, “What is it ?”
Mrs. Lamont smiled affectionately, “The three of us are picking a wife for you!”
