Chapter 204
By the time the two of them returned to the Jarvis family’s house, it was almost dark. Old Wade, who
had taken care of them previously, was sweeping fallen leaves in the yard. Seeing them, he showed a
kind smile. “You’re back!”
Estelle handed over the gifts they had bought on the way back, saying, “We were in a hurry when we
came, so we didn’t prepare anything properly. Mr. Lamont just bought some gifts, could you please
pass them to Old Mr. Jarvis?‘
Old Wade took them and nodded kindly. “Thank you!”

After the couple had entered the house, Old Wade’s gaze followed their retreating figures before he
shifted his attention back to the box of gifts.
With a broader smile on his face, he set aside the broom, lifted the gifts, and made his way into Old Mr.
Jarvis‘ room, taking slow steps.
The dinner was still delicious and exquisite. While eating, Estelle teased, ‘Does the Jarvis family

Jonathan chuckled lightly, “Although Old Mr. Jarvis is a bit eccentric, he is still from a prestigious

Estelle lifted her bright, clear eyes and selected some of Jonathan’s favorite food, offering it to him.

With a mouthful of food, Estelle chewed and swallowed before responding. “I live not far from here.
Remember the square we passed by on the bike? If you head west from there, you’ll come across my

Jonathan raised an eyebrow, a tinge of mild frustration evident in his tone. “Why didn’t you mention it

there, so there’s no point in going back.”
After dinner, the two sat down on the wicker chairs. The yard’s lights shone on the flowering vines, and
looking up, they looked like warm, yellow bursts of fireworks. Jonathan poured some water for Estelle,
saying. “You should take a nap first”
Estelle shook her head, “I’m not sleepy yet. Let’s chat instead”
“What would you like to chat about?” The man leaned back on the chair, looking poised and noble. The
sleeves of his light–colored shirt were rolled up slightly, revealing a bit of his wrist.
Estelle thought for a moment and then asked, “Have you ever thought about getting married?”
Jonathan turned to look at her and replied softly, ‘I have been married
