Chapter 182
Eileen took the leap.
The sergeant then started to force the rest to jump.
Colin was the second one to take the plunge!
He didn’t want to jump, but the parachute was already strapped onto him forcefully. If he didn’t jump,
they threatened to kick him off!
Colin’s
eyes were teary, are these guys really soldiers?
He felt as if they were more like gang members!
The four male guests were okay, being men, they found their inner strength after a bout of scolding.
With a bit of coaxing, they were duped into jumping.
But the three female guests were a different story.
The women didn’t want to jump, and the male soldiers couldn’t force the parachutes onto them.
Wouldn’t that be forcing women?
The sergeant now started to have regrets. If he knew it would be like this, he should have brought two
female paratroopers from the beginning.
In the nick of time, the show crew stepped in.
The female staff from the crew, without a second thought, started to strap Edna into a parachute.
Edna struggled like a wildcat, totally uncooperative!
The director started to rile them up, “No wonder you can’t match up to Eileen.”
Hearing this, Edna was immediately triggered. She glared and retorted, “What did you just say? Who
can’t match up to her?”
The director replied coldly, “Well, she was the first one to jump, and she’s brave, determined, capable,
calm, and good-looking. You three combined can’t even hold a candle to her.”
Patti and Jaqueline instantly stood up in anger.
They were pushed to the edge now, ready to fight for their dignity!
Edna shouted defiantly, “Well, I’m jumping!”
Actually, the previous six people had already landed safely. Even though Edna was still scared, she
wasn’t as terrified as before.
She just couldn’t conquer her internal fear.
But now, she was blinded by anger, and didn’t care anymore!
After the parachute was strapped on, Edna was the first to jump.
She stood at the door of the plane, clutching the safety handle, her legs shaking like a patient with
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtParkinson’s, and started to have second thoughts.
She still didn’t dare to jump.
Patti and Jaqueline cheered her on from the side.
Encouraged by them, adrenaline surging, Edna gritted her teeth, closed her eyes, and jumped off
screaming.
Once Edna successfully opened her parachute in the air, the sergeant calmly turned to Patti and
Jaqueline, saying, “Next.”
Meanwhile, Eileen was lounging on a sturdy fruit tree, enjoying the fruits on it.
She had already checked the area during her descent.
The surroundings were not entirely wild, there were houses at the foot of the mountain, hence there
were a few fruit trees on the mountain.
These were not farm fruit trees but wild ones, bearing small oranges that didn’t look too appealing.
The fruits were not sour, but not very sweet either, though very juicy.
Elleen chewed on the oranges, thinking over what had happened so far.
Since landing, she hadn’t seen anyone.
She hadn’t run into Egbert, nor any pursuers.
Eileen kept wondering, the sergeant avoided the topic, and didn’t want to disclose whether Egbert was
below.
Could it be that the sergeant wanted to keep it a secret, and Egbert was actually the leader of the
pursuers?
The more she thought about it, the more possible it seemed.
Eileen turned her head, picked another fruit, peeled off the thick skin, and continued to ponder while
eating.
Just then, a shrill scream echoed from the sky.
Eileen was stunned, looking up, it was Jaqueline.
Jaqueline had an open parachute above her, descending slowly, yet she was screaming like a pig
being slaughtered.
Eileen frowned, having waited here for a long time without seeing any guests, the first person she saw
was Jaqueline.
Eileen leaned back against the tree trunk, deciding to ignore Jaqueline.
Eventually, Jaqueline landed, but she was stuck in a tree.
Eileen had controlled her parachute during her descent and landed in an open area.
But Jaqueline obviously didn’t know how to adjust her position, drifting wherever the wind blew.
As a result, she drifted to a dense area of branches, her parachute was caught, and she was left
hanging in mid-air.
“Help! Is there anyone who can help me?” Jaqueline’s cries were too noisy, annoying Eileen.
She jumped down from the tree, carrying her gun, leisurely walked past a few trees, and stopped in
front of Jaqueline.
Jaqueline was surprised to see Eileen, but she didn’t have the luxury to hold grudges, she quickly
yelled, “What are you standing there for! Hurry up and help me down!*
Eileen was initially going to help her, but hearing her words, she let out a cold laugh and looked up.
“You must have saved the world in your previous life, huh?”
Jaqueline was taken aback, not understanding her meaning.
Eileen said, “That’s why you think the world owes you something.”
Finishing her sentence, Eileen simply turned around and left.
Jaqueline yelled hurriedly, “Don’t go, I apologize, I’m sorry, Eileen, can you help me down first? I’m
really scared!*
Eileen didn’t slow down, and soon, she was about to disappear from Jaqueline’s sight.
Pushed to the edge, Jaqueline cried out, “I helped you write that self-criticism letter the other day!”
“Shush!” Eileen was startled and rushed back.
She sneaked a look around, seeing the drone in the sky, she waved her fist at it, warning, “This part
The soldier controlling the drone was speechless.
The director monitoring the footage was speechless.

– [I’m speechless.]
-[You’re such a fool, the whole world already knows!]
– [Indeed, Eileen doesn’t know it’s being broadcasted live.]
not to be broadcasted, don’t tell anyone, got it?”
– [I have a question, would this act of deceiving the leader be considered a violation? Would the
instructor punish her by making her rewrite double?]
– [Rewrite double? That’s funny to think about.]
Afraid that Jaqueline would continue to scream, Eileen had no choice but to rescue her.
After landing safely, Jaqueline’s crying subsided a bit.
Eileen didn’t want to deal with her, so she turned around and bailed.
Jaqueline didn’t know where else to go and just stumbled along after Eileen.
After a bit, Eileen turned to warn her, “Stop tailing me!”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmJaqueline didn’t really want to rely on Eileen, but she was alone and couldn’t leave safely. So she
pleaded, “Can I leave after I find Edna and Patti?”
Eileen looked at Jaqueline’s pitiful and weak appearance, and suddenly frowned.
After a while, Eileen stroked her chin, walked up to Jaqueline, and started sizing her up, circling her a
few times.
Being stared at made Jaqueline uncomfortable, and she stuttered, “What are you doing?”
Eileen cracked a smile and sincerely said, “I’m not the heartless type. We’re colleagues after all, how
could I just leave you here in the forest? Could I do such a thing?”
Jaqueline was taken aback and somewhat surprised, “You’d take me with you?”
Eileen replied, “Sure, don’t be scared. Let me take you to a safe place first, okay?”
Fifteen minutes later, Jaqueline was tied up, looking dumbfounded, sitting in the most conspicuous spot
on top of the hill.
She turned to look for Eileen.
Eileen was hiding up in a big tree, aiming her gun around.
Jaqueline wanted to say something, “I..
Eileen hushed her, “Shush, someone’s coming!”
Jaqueline was startled and quickly looked ahead.
Then she saw two-soldiers coming from not too far away.
Their uniforms were different from theirs, so they must be the pursuers!
Jaqueline was scared out of her wits. She knew getting caught by the pursuers meant losing points, so
she tried to stand up and run.
But her feet were tied, she couldn’t move at all.
Jaqueline was so scared she started crying on the spot.
The two pursuers heard the crying and ran over quickly. One of them shouted, “There’s someone here,
let’s grab her first!”
Jaqueline was so scared she turned pale.
But as the two pursuers got close, there were two gunshots, and red smoke rose from their heads.
They were “dead”.
The two pursuers just stood there.
Jaqueline also just stood there.
Eileen then jumped off the tree, she hid the two “bodies” in the bushes..
Then she came back, and said angrily to Jaqueline, “We waited this long for just two guys! Didn’t you
eat? Cry louder!”
