He folded his arms and placed Kelly in front of his chest. His voice was low. “You don’t need to spend so much effort
on it, Kelly. Just a little is enough. Even if Grandpa doesn’t like you, I will still like you firmly. His opinion can’t affect
me.”
“I know that, of course.” Kelly raised her chin. “But you care about your grandpa. I don’t want you or him to be
unhappy because of me.”
Ian thought that Kelly was so amazing as he hugged her tightly in his arms. He wondered why Kelly would be so nice
and considerate of him.

well enough. She left in the middle of the gathering. She didn’t seem very happy. She seemed to get anxious
