If Julius allowed Albert to continue his speech, it could potentially affect the army’s morale.
The generals of the Black Dragon Army exchanged hesitant glances.
Albert had once been the Grand General of the Black Dragon Army, and his reputation was
second only to Prince Rufus.
After suppressing the West, he had decided to retire from the frontline. Yet, some of the
older generals remembered his illustrious legacy and held great respect for him.
“What’s the matter? Have you all lost your hearing? Or are you planning to defy orders?”
Julius took out the Marshal’s military insignia and brandished it high above his head as he
spoke.
He shouted, “I have the insignia with me! Who dares disobey me?”
When the generals saw the military insignia, they no longer hesitated. They swiftly drew
their swords and surrounded Albert.

However, Albert just stood there with his hands behind his back, projecting an air of
indifference and fearlessness.
“I’m right here! Who dares make a move?” Suddenly, a thunderous roar shattered the air,
causing the soldiers to instinctively halt and turn their attention to the source of the noise.
What unfolded next left everyone utterly dumbfounded.
At the entrance of the castle, a middle- aged man in royal attire emerged slowly, his hands
folded behind his back.
He had a slightly hunched figure and a limp in his walk. He didn’t carry an imposing air,
nor did he have a strong presence. If it weren’t for his royal attire, he would have been
mistaken for a common farmer.
However, the appearance of this unassuming middle-aged man cast silence upon the
scene. Those present were filled with shock as their eyes widened in disbelief.
The newcomer was none other than Rufus, the resurrected Prince of West Lucozia!
“Ru-Rufus?” Eloise stammered in shock when she noticed the familiar face, finding it hard
to believe. She had witnessed his supposed death, so how could he stand there alive?
What was going on? Was she … dreaming?
“Dad?” Even Austin was stunned as his sword dropped to the ground with a loud clatter.
He rubbed his eyes repeatedly to make sure he wasn’t hallucinating.
“Oh my god! Isn’t Prince Rufus dead? Am I seeing a ghost?” Wyatt, Tyrus, and Lincon
exchanged bewildered looks.
They had seen Rufus’ lifeless body for themselves the night before and were sure that he
was dead. How was he alive now? Was dark magic involved?
“Ru-Rufus?” Julius felt as if thunder had struck him. He stood there dumbfounded as beads
of sweat formed on his forehead and began trembling uncontrollably.

moment he heard news of Rufus’ death, he was overjoyed.
After enduring for so many years, he finally saw a chance for a new beginning-the chance
to rise to higher heights.
He immediately executed his plan to seize power, preparing to take control of West
Lucozia’s military.
He knew that without Rufus’ suppression, he would be invincible.
His plan had been progressing smoothly. He had the military insignia in hand, the castle
surrounded, and even Eloise at his mercy.
He had been that close to ascending to the throne and achieving unparalleled glory.
However, he never expected that Rufus would suddenly come back to life at this critical
moment!
Why? How could this happen? How could someone who was already dead come back to
life?
