Chapter 1590:
“I never asked you to take responsibility foror my life. Never!” she snapped, her voice laced with bitterness.
“So doa favor and just letgo. My ex-husband was a serial cheater. I've had enough of that hell. I'm not
gonna go through that again. It ends right here.”
She tugged at her arm, trying to break free. “Let go! Or | swear, I'll start shouting!” They were right at the
entrance of Cozyroom, with the street just a few steps away. If she raised her voice, there was no doubt people
would stop and stare. “You're the CEO of Flynn Group. Surely you don’t want to make a scene, do you?” Elissa
threatened.
“Don’t shout!” Ernest warned, though his hand still didn’t budge. Then, he added with a sense of urgency, “Just
stay here. | want you to witness something... interesting.”
He turned slightly and gave Quentin a wink. “Keep an eye on her.”

At last, Ernest slowly let go of her hand. “Trust me. | haven't betrayed you, and | never will.”
He stepped back, not turning his gaze away. “Just trust me.”
Elissa stood frozen, staring at his retreating figure. She had no idea what he was about to do. She whipped
around toward Quentin. “What is he planning?”
“Miss Holland...” Quentin handed her his phone.
The screen showed an ongoing call with Ernest.
What was this about?
Holding her breath, Elissa took the phone from Quentin and raised it to her ear.
Inside one of Cozyroom'’s private rooms, Ernest pushed open the door and stepped inside. “Sorry. | had to take
care of something.”
Bonnie looked up from the menu and patiently replied, “It’s alright. Work comes first.”

“Thank you for understanding.” Ernest pulled out a chair, settled into it, and glanced over the menu. “Have you
ordered anything yet?”
Bonnie shook her head. “Not yet. | circled a few dishes, but | was waiting for you to decide.”
“Alright.” Ernest scanned the menu and then ordered a few of the restaurant’s signature dishes and a bottle of
red wine.
Once the order was placed, he leaned back slightly. “Let's go with this for now?”
“That's fine.” Bonnie kept her expression composed, but inside, her heart was racing. The dishes he chose
weren't just expensive. They were outrageous. That wine alone cost two hundred grand for a single bottle.
She could barely contain her excitement. If she ended up with Ernest, even for a little while... she never had to
worry about anything again.
Soon, the dishes began to arrive, one after another.
Ernest reached for the decanter and gracefully poured her a glass of wine. “Go on. Try it. Costs two hundred
thousand, but honestly, it’s just passable.”
“Thank you.” Bonnie held the wine glass with trembling hands.
His offhand remark echoed in her head. Two hundred thousand, and he called it just passable?
In Bonnie's mind, if she could pull him away from Elissa, it would be like winning the lottery.
