Chapter 1601:

“I’m only in first grade, Daddy,” Isabella said with a giggle, gently reminding him.

Felipe paused, nodding.

He knew her age, but her sharp mind seemed far beyond her years.

“1 don’t think I’m that grown-up,” Isabella said, glancing at Jesse, who was helping Nina with a

game. “Jesse’s the one who’s mature.”

Jesse, still in preschool, effortlessly grasped elementary school lessons. His thinking and problem-

solving skills showed a surprising level of maturity for such a young child.

Felipe followed her gaze, a new idea forming. “What do you think of Jesse?”

“He’s super smart,” Isabella said brightly. “Nothing seems to stump him.”

Felipe pressed his lips together, thinking quietly.

If Jesse ever liked Isabella, maybe that wouldn’t be so bad.

“Go talk to Mommy,” Isabella said, grabbing her toy and standing up. “I'm joining Jesse and Nina.”

Off she went, diving into their game.

The three kids, lifelong playmates, clicked like peas in a pod.

Felipe watched them laugh and play, his heart warm. Instead of finding Farrah, he turned to Ellis. “Got a minute

to talk?”

“Always,” Ellis said, leaning back with a lazy grin.

“What would you think if Jesse and Isabella got married in the future?” Felipe asked, cautiously probing for a

reaction. “Would you mind giving them a bond right from the start?”

Ellis blinked, caught off guard.

Melvin’s eyes flicked toward Felipe, curious.

Feeling their stares, Felipe cleared his throat. “What's the big deal?”

“Freya’s not into arranging betrothals for the kids,” Ellis said, his calm voice matching his easy charm. “And I'm

with her on that.”

Even the closest childhood friends often drift apart as they grow, unless they stay in the scircles.

Only a few hold tight to those early bonds.

“You sure about that?” Felipe pressed gently.

“If you're set on a betrothal, try Kevin's boys,” Ellis said with a shrug. “But his kids probably won't go for it.”

Jerand Jasper mostly stuck with Nina, and Kevin might not welcthe idea.
