Chapter 497 Chapter 497 Maleah's p.o.V.

I can see the questions in his eyes, but for the tbeing I will leave him in the dark.

We decided to change my tactics for tonight, because we want him to suffer. One of my Scouts had searched the entire cottage, looking for anything that could tell us how Alpha Bradley had gotten involved and what she had found had shocked the hell out of all of us.

Alpha Bradley was the mastermind behind this endeavor, he had cup with the idea and he was the one that had approached Caym and Tamish.

I found out that sof the potions can be combined, amplifying the other's potency and if administered in the right combination, it will diminish the lethal capacity of the potion.

Kay is holding the syringe filled with Phaxakyde, his eyes keep drifting to his watch to keep track of tand to inject Alpha Bradley at the right moment.

I don't want the Xurmella to do too much damage, he needs to be alive long enough for these potions to do their job.

After Kay has emptied the syringe into Alpha Bradley's body, it only takes seconds for him to notice that his eyesight is gone and the only indication we have of the level of pain he is in, is the expression on his face.

Levi handsa file he found and after reading it, I have found the perfect way to let him know who I really am. "Looks like Alpha Bradley did sresearch of his own, but somehow he missed connecting a few dots." I say, before I hand over the file to Mack.

"The only thing he got right about the Angel of Death is that this isn't a one person show. Maybe we should explain a few things to him, before he kicks the bucket and will never get any answers." I say, keeping my eyes on Alpha Bradley.

"Alpha, the Angel of Death isn't a male. Everyone has always been looking in the wrong direction, but I do understand why no one ever thought to look elsewhere." Levi says and we all turn our heads in his direction.

"Okay, letexplain. In Blood Crescent Pack we have quite a few Assassins, but looking at our history, there has never been a female Assassin. Not because we had none, but none of them wanted to join our team of Assassins.

The sgoes for every Pack in our Kingdom, females have never stepped up to the plate and beca part of their Pack's Assassin team." I listen to Levi as he explains and I guess that he is correct.

I have never heard of a female Assassin, I just thought it had to do with a Pack keeping it a secret and to have an ace up their sleeve for certain assignments. "Most females find a true Mate-bond within three years of becoming of age and they usually chose to leave their career behind, to becMothers, to take care of their Mates. I can guarantee you that almost every male would expect this of their Mate and there for a female Assassin is unheard of." Levi continues.

"We don't want you to quit your job, neither one of them." Levi says through our mind-link and I smile at him.

Suddenly Mack steps forward to empty the last syringe into Alpha Bradley's body and I know that the Dravyrith will make his ending a very painful one.

"I think it has to do with how a stod female Assassin is raised or how others react to her ability." Mack states and I think back on my own childhood. I was never shielded from my Father's job and I believe it is why I had such an interest in what an Assassin does.

Maybe if I hadn't know what my Father's job entailed and if my parents hadn't fought about the attic, I wouldn't have taken a shot at taking out Akar.

However, I did chose to becan Assassin and I have gathered a handful of female Assassins within my teams. Would they have chosen a career as an Assassin if I hadn't calong? "Should we tell Asshole over here the truth?" Kay asks with a huge grin on his face, pullingfrom my thoughts.

"Do you think he will feel better if he knows the identity of the Angel of Death?" Mack asks.

Alpha Bradley's head keeps sweeping in the direction of their voices, blood splashing in every e direction. He tried to move around the cottage in the first few seconds after each injection, but soon gave up because of the pain.

"Alpha Bradley, may I introduce you to the Angel of Death." Mack says, as he looks atwith his hand stretched out in my direction.

Levi and Kay chuckle at his antics, I just roll my eyes at him and then Mack looks back at Alpha Bradley. His mouth forming a perfect O, when he realizes his mistake. "Oops, my bad. You can't see who I am pointing at." Mack says sarcastically and again I roll my eyes at him.

"Alpha Bradley, Maleah is the Angel of Death." Levi states.

"Like I told Diablo, no one alive knows my identity and no one ever will. You will take my secret to the grave, m Alpha Bradley. You will die a very Bradiesecret to unpleasant death and whoever finds you will have nightmares for ages. You look like shit." I say. It takes another two hours before he takes his last breath and it will take a very long tbefore anyone will find him.

We head back to Blood Crescent Pack and I grab my phone to see if I have a message from Caspara. I sent her on another mission, because I can't split myself in two.

Done. Report will be on your desk in the morning. The message from Caspara says and with a smile on my face I place my head on Levi's shoulder.
