Holley and Baker gave Faye a quick nod before hastening after Belinda. Belinda led them into the study, where Gwenda was already inside. After shutting the door, Belinda glanced at her watch, her expression cold. "You have five minutes." Her tone and demeanor left Baker deeply displeased.
Given their dire situation, however, he knew they couldn't afford to offend her. They had to get on her good side, even if it meant swallowing their pride.
