Chapter 118

"Yeah, that's fine."

Timothy's tone was cool and detached.

Sheila lowered her eyes, a hint of disappointment flickering across her face. "If you think there's anything that

needs fixing, just letknow. There's still tto make changes."

"Don't overthink it," he replied. "There's nothing wrong. Honestly, it's flawless."

Her skill and talent spoke for themselves-most people couldn't have pulled off something this impressive. Some

things, like talent and intuition, just can't be learned through hard work alone.

Sheila finally felt her mood start to lift.

She smiled. "Timothy, why don't we get our things together and head over to the expo? Is that okay?"

Timothy glanced at his watch and nodded.

Together, they left the house and headed for the hotel where Jessica was staying. On the way, Timothy called the

local branch office to have a car sent over.

The night before, he'd arranged for the boutique he frequented to deliver a few suits for him. He'd booked Sheila

a separate room and asked her to bring their luggage upstairs, while he waited for her in the lobby.

He picked up the brooch at the front desk, then went up to Jessica's room. He rang the bell, but no one

answered.

Just as he was about to call Jessica, a housekeeper emerged from a neighboring room.

"Excuse me, sir, are you looking for the guest in this room?"

"es."

"I saw her leave about half an hour ago."

Timothy slipped his phone back into his pocket and thanked her politely.

He had just stepped into the elevator when the driver called he was already waiting outside the hotel. By the

tTimothy had collected the car, Sheila cdownstairs with their luggage, and together they set off for

Ines's exhibition.

Jessica had left early that morning for breakfast at a nearby café, then took a cab to the expo center. The taxi

dropped her off in the parking lot outside the stadium. As she was about to get out, she spotted Timothy and

Sheila stepping out of their

car.

Not wanting to run into them, Jessica stayed put in her seat.

It was still early-there was no way Timothy and Sheila had just arrived today. They must have cin last

night...

That night, when she'd reached out to Timothy for help, all he'd given her was a phone call and a single

message.

Sheila was dressed in a soft beige cashmere sweater today, with the swan brooch pinned to her chest. Jessica

recognized it from the photos she'd seen-the wings of the swan were encrusted with tiny diamonds, sparkling

fiercely in the golden sunlight.

It was blinding.

Only after their figures had blurred into the crowd did Jessica finally pay her fare and get out of the cab. She

pulled her mask up, pressed the brim of her sunhat down low, and made her way toward the expo.

The exhibition in the capital was even more crowded. That was a good thing— more people meant she'd be less

likely to be noticed.

By then, Sheila and Timothy had already gone inside.

Timothy told Sheila to explore the hall on her own for a while; he said he had something to take care of.

Sheila didn't object. She'd told Timothy before that she wanted to apprentice under Ines. He hadn't said whether

he'd speak to Ines on her behalf, but not long after her mention, Timothy had signed on as the exhibition's

exclusive sponsor.

She knew Timothy was handling it. She also knew his personality—he wouldn't say a word until everything was

settled.

Right now, he was definitely off meeting Ines.

Sheila understood perfectly and didn't ask further.

Timothy was putting so much effort into her affairs-she couldn't help but think that maybe, just maybe, he had

sfeelings for her after all.

Jessica was mute, and an orphan. After marrying Timothy, she surely wouldn't want to let go of this marriage.

Maybe Timothy, bound by his marriage and the need to save face, simply couldn't be too harsh with Jessica. That

might be why he still showed her scare and attention.
