Chapter 239: Skills
Aakesh exited the store and then proceeded in the direction of the skill shop operated by the Town head's family.
He carried a sword covered in a sheath on his back, while a pouch could be seen dangling on his waist. The pouch had more than 19 million low soul stones in it, while the sword that he carried was a peak rare grade weapon, and it could even threaten beings above Level 50.
After traveling for a few minutes, Aakesh reached the store. Like the last time, the manager of the store himself came to welcome him.
"What kind of skills do you need, adventurer?" The manager respectfully asked.
"Element skills," Aakesh expressionlessly responded.
"Adventurer, only beings above Level 25 can buy element skills."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtFor a second, the manager frowned since he had told Aakesh the last time that the element skills were only available for beings above Level 25. But the next moment, he masked it since he didn't want to offend the adventurer and respectfully repeated the same information.
"I know," Aakesh expressionlessly responded and leaked a hint of his energy.
The manager himself was a level 30 being, but when Aakesh leaked just a little bit of his energy, the manager felt as if he was standing naked in absolute zero. The energy felt so cold and chilly to him that he felt that if Aakesh wanted to kill him, he wouldn't even get the chance to fight back.
It took a few seconds for the manager to calm down. It was too shocking for him to believe. It had only been around a week when Aakesh had come into the store. At that time, he was only a Level 1 being, but now he had surpassed him, a Level 30 being.
He masked the shock, and a smile appeared on his face as he respectfully asked Aakesh to wait and he would bring skills and spells.
Aakesh nodded, and the manager left. A few seconds later, the manager returned with two men following him. They had several scrolls in their hands.
"Adventurer, would you like a specific element skill?" The manager respectfully asked. In a hurry to hide his shock, he had forgotten to ask it before leaving. He had now brought all the element skills he had in the store for Aakesh to see.
"Any element would do," Aakesh responded and gestured to the two men to put the scrolls on the table. He would himself check all the skills.
If it were the manager's first meeting with Aakesh, he would've surely gotten shocked after hearing Aakesh could use skills of all elements, but after seeing him rising from Level 1 to more than Level 30, it didn't feel much.
In Panagea, when the beings reach Level 25, they would be able to manipulate basic elements. Each being had mastery in different kinds of elements. Some could only manipulate earth, some could only manipulate fire, while some could manipulate all five primary elements.
There were also beings like Aakesh, who had no restriction when it came to any kind of element. Even when the Emperors were alive, and the Panagea was at its peak, there were less than 100 beings who could do this. But since the Town of Wolfden was one of the lowest level areas, they did not have much knowledge regarding this.
When Aakesh had asked the system about the reason behind him being able to not face any restrictions when it comes to any element, the system had told him that it was due to his bloodline. When he asked more, the system had refused to tell him since he didn't have that much authority. So, Aakesh could only accept the answer and complete quests to gain authority.
After the men put the scrolls on the table, Aakesh started checking each skill. He wanted skills that could help him win the battle against the wolf king, so whenever he read the details of the skill, he would then use his unlimited intelligence to create several scenarios of battles at the same time and then the use of the skill.
If the skill made a difference, he would put that skill on his left, and if it didn't, he would put it on his right.
Time flew by, and several minutes passed.
There were around twenty skills on his left, while all the other skills and spells he didn't like were on his right.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmSince he had only 19 million on his hands, he couldn't buy all the twenty skills he wanted. For that, he would need a few hundreds of millions of low soul stones.
He then separated those twenty skills into the three most important skills. Out of the three, the lowest cost 13 million low soul stones, while the most expensive cost 18.3 million low soul stones.
After thinking for a few seconds, Aakesh decided to buy the most expensive one. It was a skill named SandPort. The name of the skill was horrible, to say the least, but Aakesh didn't care much about these things.
The skill, SandPort, was both movement and obstruction-based skill. It allowed the owner to convert a radius of 100 meters around them into a desert.
In that 100 meters radius, the owner of the skill could move to any point instantly, making it almost like a teleport.
The skill wasn't upgradeable, but Aakesh still bought it because it was a deadly skill in these areas.
The wolf king had an advantage in speed when it came to these areas. The desert would not only obstruct the movement of the wolf king, but it would also give a free hand to Aakesh.
Since Aakesh had still a few hundreds of thousands of low soul stones left, he asked for a cheap sword skill. He already had several copied sword skills, but they weren't his, and they had limited use, so Aakesh thought it would be better to have an offensive skill in his arsenal.
Since the amount Aakesh had wasn't considered a good amount to buy strong skills, he bought a basic sword skill that allowed him to create a simple aura of sharpness around the sword.
The sword Aakesh had was already sharp enough to threaten even beings above Level 50, so if Aakesh used this skill at the right time, he could even sever the head of the wolf king.
