Chapter 448 Ripple Deer
Leon looked upon the fawn in the cage with a newfound appreciation. Indeed, he had done well to leave it alive, but that came with another set of problems.
"So, what happens if the more powerful Ripple Deer hear of me capturing one of their kind?" He asked.
"So long as you do not do anything overboard to attract their ire, then you will be safe. You have already done a good job of keeping it alive. While they might have allowed its death to pass in a battle, a slaughter would not be too nice." Fazir, as the more knowledgeable one kept explaining. As a much older God, he had more access to information than even Michael.
"That aside, we have more important things to discuss." Michael eventually said. While Ripple Deer were quite important, the matter they had come to discuss with Leon was of even greater importance.
"Oh, then come in. It's not much, but it's something." Leon said as he opened his God Kingdom and allowed the others to come in. Upon entering, the scene that Michael and Fazir were introduced to was quite interesting.
"I see you have modeled your God Kingdom to resemble a natural paradise. What's more, those mountains in the distance remind me of some mountains of Earth." Michael said with surprise.
"Yes, I felt a need to add a bit of that." Leon said while taking in the beauty of what he had made.
"Your attachment to your former home is quite disconcerting." Fazir said with a strange expression. "It would be best for you to let go of your past ties. They will limit you."
"I believe that is my business, with all due respect." Leon responded and Fazir only nodded his head without saying anything more. He then led them to a magnificent palace that stood at the center of his God Kingdom. It was made of glimmering black stone that glowed under the fake sun that brightened up the place. He had yet to get the materials to make a proper imitation of the sun and this one only served as a light source.
"It is nothing compared to the luxury that you two spend your days in, but please, relax." Leon led them to a large hall and conjured three thrones. Umbra stood behind his throne while still holding onto the cage with the young Ripple Deer.

The God Council was a new establishment that had been created after the Chaos Faction was suppressed a few months ago. It was meant to help regulate the affairs of the Gods and coordinate their actions, especially in the coming times.
"The Gods are going to lift the restriction of the System that was put on Datar. The System will still remain, as a form of regulating growth, but it will no longer limit mortals and prevent them from reaching Godhood. A lot of powerful A ranks might be ascending in the next months or years." Michael explained a bit more.
Leon paused in thought for a few moments before nodding his head. "I understand, but what does this have to do with me?" He asked.
Michael took the lead once more. "Well, you see, placing the restriction was much easier than lifting it. We will need the help of every available God, even those who just ascended." He said.
Leon hummed as he felt there was something fishy about all of this. "Tell me, is there a particular reason to you lifting the restriction? And also, why do I feel like this is all rushed?"
"..."
Michael and Fazir shared a look and nodded, then Fazir raised his hand to project a clear image. The image showed destruction on a scale that Leon had never seen before.
The projection showed a hellish landscape. The sky was red with smoke and the ground was covered in flames. Deep ravines covered the earth and boiling magma rolled like rivers. It truly looked like hell.
"What is this?" Leon eventually asked, still in shock.
"This is what Datar will become if we do not lift the restriction." Fazir replied. He then explained to Leon in detail what was coming and how that resulted in their need to lift the restriction placed on Datar by the System.
After listening to all of what Fazir had to say, Leon simply sighed and asked, "So, the reason why you did not lift the restriction earlier was because some Gods were too proud to realize their wrong judgement?"
"...You could put it that way. Their pride did not let them see that we would need to rely on the ascension of mortals to tide over this calamity." Fazir nodded slowly.
"..." Leon only sighed and shook his head. These Gods were blinded by their pride, and it was only when all hope seemed to be lost that they actually saw the truth. It was truly ridiculous, but that was how things were, it seemed.
"Alright, what exactly do you need me to do?" He asked.
"This is what we need."
.
.
Before Leon knew it, he found himself in a very familiar hall. Many Gods were gathered. This was the same hall where he had been encased in a pillar of solid light for many months on end.
Right now, there was a giant golden pillar of solid material in the center of the hall. The pillar exuded a sort of mystique that let Leon know that it was in no way ordinary.
"That is an extension of the Temple of Gods. It is what we used to place the restriction and it is also what we will use to lift it." Michael told Leon as the two joined the others. A few more arrived after them and only when the hall was full did the doors close.
There was no need for discussion among the Gods. They had already decided on this and knew what they were there for. They all knew what to do. As for Leon, Michael and Fazir had filled him in before they arrived. He only needed to provide his Divine Power, others would carry out the main activity.

This staggering power rushed toward the golden pillar, pouring into it like water in an empty barrel. Even still, with all the power that flooded it, the pillar kept absorbing more and more without stopping.
Divine Power that Leon barely even had left his body. Eventually, he had to stop, as losing anymore would be harmful to a newly ascended God like himself. After him, some other weak Minor Gods followed soon after, leaving the stronger ones to keep powering the Tower.
Leon watched as the once dormant pillar lit up with power. Lines and indentations that were previously not visible now became visible as they glowed with power. Some kind of ancient language had appeared on the body of the pillar, glowing brightly with white light.
Thud!
A loud sound rang through the hall, followed with the entire pillar lighting up with blinding light. It was at this time that several Major Gods stepped forward.
Michael, Fazir, Dardan, Tiphone, and several other Major Gods that Leon was not too familiar with all stepped forward and stopped an arm's length away from the pillar. Their eyes glowed with godly power as they all made the same gesture at the same time.
To Leon, this all looked like some crazy ritual, but it was something out of his power to understand.
Thud!
Another loud sound rang through the hall and the pillar of light suddenly began to exhibit changes. From a plain white light, specks of color began to swirl within the pillar, dousing the room in a rainbow radiance.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
The sound turned into a constant, rhythmic backdrop as the air gained a buzz. Even Leon could feel how much the atmosphere had become rich in powerful Divine Energy. His Divinity seemed to be enriched as if it was swimming in a pool of Divine Sparks that constantly donated to its growth and nourishment.
