Chapter 464: Being Casual
"When is it starting?" Max asked as he looked at Axel.
"Soon, I guess…" Axel replied with a sigh.
"I can't stand these guys glaring at us like that…" He further said aa he looked at the student in the adjacent stands to them.
They were placed between Orca and Trinity.
They were looking at them like hungry wolves and why wouldn't they?
Mark had backstabbed Orca and Lear had broken a glass on their leader's head and we still weren't counting Wilson in the picture.
At this moment, the host of the event finally walked onto the stage and welcomed everyone to this event.
"That guy seems a bit familiar…" Eren muttered as he looked at the host
"He is in the last year of the Academy.?Senior students are never on the campus so it isn't a surprise that you don't remember him…." Mark replied.
"I can't wait to get to the last year. Experiencing the war along the borders will be thrilling…" Eren said in excitement.
"I hope you get posted to the South Eastern border…" Terry said with a smile and Eren's face turned ugly.
Everyone couldn't help but laugh. Only Veterans could survive in the South Eastern Orena.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThere was no way a student from an Academy would survive there. Even the lowest beast roaming around that place were strong Savage Tier.
"They are here.." August said and everybody went silent. New ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄhapters are published on ɴo(v)elFɪre.net
On the stage, the Headmaster of Orca, Rayford Kingsman appeared with Kain Walker.
Kain was by his side with a piece of fabric hanging from his shoulder carrying the logo of Orca.
Similarly, the rest of the Academy entered the place according to their rankings assigned.
The next one was Ethera, the last competition's runner up.
Max frowned, seeing that it wasn't Mr. Cool but Venice Brown, one of a frightening existence from Ethera.
In the last competition her Elder brother had single handedly given Orca a run for their money.
After that, it was Ocein and the leading figure was Erina Scarlet.
The next was West Gale and the leading figure was Bayu Tempest.
After that came, Zealand Academy with Faryl Zen, Bahamut's elder brother in lead.
Then it was Trinity with Melan Roxely in lead followed by Vienna Academy with Ren Tiner in lead.
The next in line was Blue Water Academy with Xenon Frost in lead. He was Namen's Step brother...yeah...Namen's father, the Lord of Frost House was a player...or a b*stard...whatever suits your taste…
The second last was Ishtar. The last competition had been worse for them as they didn't have any strong members in younger generation.
Well you could imagine it...how could the students concentrate on studies when Ishtar had the biggest Red Light District.
The incident had angered the Headmaster of Ishtar who then requested the Barnes Lord and got a ban placed on the Academy students from entering the Red Light District.
And the last was Arcane for obvious reasons. There weren't any Noble House situated in Arcane but still the place had William Kingsman as it's headmaster...even though the place was no longer used by the Ancient Family younger ones, it was still above the other normal Academies.
After everyone had arrived, the ceremony started with a speech from the Headmaster of Orca.
Since it was their turn, he was the one who would be speaking. He gave a motivating speech and made Max feel for the first time that he was indeed a student.
The event was followed by a pledge by all the leading members in front of a huge bronze bowl of flames for a fair competition.
"So boring…" Lisa muttered.
"It will get interesting in a bit. There is no way that things would end peacefully like this…" Terry said with a smile.
"Yeah, the competition had already begun the moment we arrived in Academy…" Axel said as he looked at Max.
He was staying in the Academy and had noticed a few things during these days. There were skirmishes between different Academies for little things. Most were almost accidents but people took it as provocation.
Like the time when a guy slipped and dumped a hot cup of coffee on Wilson's head.
Someone was definitely behind it. Measuring the fighting power, temper or intelligence of the participants…..

"Who do you think it is? Is it that b*stard?" Max asked, looking at Axel. Axel had told him about it the day he had arrived.
"James isn't participating, he took his name back I heard…" Axel replied as he shook his head.
"Well he must be busy taking over his brother's possession...I bet that b*stard doesn't have time to pay attention here…" Max replied.
"It was a good chance to kill him...what a pity…"? Wilson said as he shook his head.
"Why do you guys wanna kill him so bad?" August asked as he looked at them.
They looked at him. It was only now did they realise that they were speaking in front of him.
The four of them were in the back. Talking in a low voice might prevent others from hearing but not the person sitting right by their side.
"Why are you silent? You know it's annoying whenever you guys do this to me…." August said with a frown.
"He killed Axel's brother, tried to kill me and as well as Max's family…is that enough?" Wilson asked calmly.
Axel and Max gave him a look. What he said was true but why so casually? Who would believe him?
It was clear from August's expression that he too didn't.
Max looked at Axel. He hadn't told him that Naze was alive. Naze's situation wasn't clear. Besides, the guy himself didn't contact Axel for some reason.
"Just say you don't wanna tell me instead of messing around? I am not the kind who would interfere when others don't want me to." August gave them a look.
"Believe if you want to….I am not forcing you…" Wilson replied.
? Axel: Why don't you tell him about it??
Max looked at Axel and replied, ?When have I willingly involved my friends in this matter….besides I have something to talk to him before I think about him...?
