Chapter 155 155. What Did You Say?
The secretary was holding her tablet and reading the schedules Max had planned for the day.
But as they were walking to an elevator, a voice sounded from behind them.
"Max!!"
Max, the secretary and a few of his guards turned around and noticed Uncle Lucky standing right next to Kevin.
Max urged them to come closer, with his aim to make sure the press couldn't get a good angle to take a picture of all three of them.
Once Max was sure they couldn't take a photo of either of them, Max walked closer to them.
"Sir, you have a meeting within the next three minutes," The blonde hair secretary reminded him, trying to make him recall how important this meeting was.
"It's okay Veronica, I'll only be taking a minute," Max assures her with a smile before turning towards Kevin and Uncle Lucky.
" Baby bro, I'm so happy to see you again," Max hugged Uncle Lucky who hugged him back in return.
"The feeling is mutual but why didn't you make a call right after you were discharged,"
"I am sorry about that but I will tell you all about it once the meeting is over,"
Max released his arms from Uncle Lucky before turning towards Kevin who was still looking surprised to see his father alive and standing before him.
Even his eyes were already welling up in tears.

"Kevin,"
Kevin flinched a bit as his mind was brought back to reality before he felt the arms of his dad wrapped around him.
Since they were together, Max didn't want to let go of this opportunity to say a few things to Kevin.
He whispered a few words to which only the both of them could hear. "I'm sorry for everything I've done,"
"I understand you must have a ton of questions for me,"
"Just know that, everything I'm doing is for you. Once everything is done, we will leave the city together,"
" We'll start over again as a family and this time around, I'll try to be a better father to you as well,"
While feeling his father's warm embrace, Kevin was unable to react.
He couldn't even hug Max back and he also couldn't hold back the tears streaming down his cheeks.
Kevin was short of words and watched as Max let go of him before looking at him in the face.
"I'll see you later Kevin," Max assures him and waved goodbye as he followed the guards into the elevator.
Kevin remained still, watching as Max left while still replaying everything that had happened prior to this moment.
"K... Kevin!!" Uncle Lucky placed a hand on Kevin's shoulder and he flinched before turning abruptly to him.
"What's wrong kiddo, are you okay?" Uncle Lucky asked worriedly.
He had been calling Kevin's name for a while now but Kevin was unresponsive.
Kevin wiped the tears on his face before nodding his head.
"We can't see your Dad now since he'll be having a meeting,"
"We can always wait for when the meeting will be over since he will only be spending an hour and a half in the meeting,"
" So, what do you wanna do?" Uncle Lucky asked.
"I'll wait for him,"
"Good. I'll be seeing you later then,"
" You're not staying?"
" I'm sorry Kiddo but I came here without permission from my boss and he's been calling me for hours now, I have to report to the station before I get fired,"
" I understand. See you later Uncle Lucky," Kevin nodded in understanding before smiling and making a fist bump to Uncle Lucky.
Uncle Lucky smiled in return and fist bump Kevin as well.
"I'm glad you were able to make it in time for you to see him,"
"Yeah, me too,"

" I will," Kevin waved back as he watched Uncle Lucky leave the building.
Right after Uncle Lucky was gone, Kevin began to pace around, trying to understand what's going on.
But the more he tried to make sense of it, the harder it was to understand how any of this even made sense.
Unable to come to a direct conclusion and scared to accept the signs he was seeing, Kevin decided to take a seat.
Even while he took a seat, his legs were tapping the ground impatiently with tears streaming down his cheeks.
He clenched his fist before standing up from his seat.
[Where are you going?]
"I'm going out to clear my head," Kevin replied without waiting for the parasite to say anything else.
He left the building and walked towards an alley, making sure no one else could see him.
He clenched his fist tightly, staring at the sky before activating his demigod mode and leaping to the sky, leaving behind a huge crater on the ground with several glass windows shattering into shards of glass by the speed at which he leaped into the sky.
He flew at a high speed, piercing through the wind like an arrow without a target.
He kept flying with no end in sight until he finally approaches an Island which was really far from the City.
He plunged and dived down to the island, leaving a huge crater around him. He kept punching the ground, widening the crater as the earth continued to tremble by every impact of his punch.
"I'll kill him, I'll kill him...." Kevin repeated the same words over and over again with the image of Max in his face while plummeting the ground underneath him as he yelled to the ground.
A few minutes later, the trembling of the earth stopped and Kevin could be seen resting with his arm placed over his forehead.
The parasite noticed something was wrong with the way Kevin was acting ever since he had decided to leave his dad's company and not knowing why he was acting this way, the parasite asked. [ What's wrong? Aren't you happy to see your father?]
