She had immediately parted ways with Aendydn at the count’s castle. He had left after Yelena promised that she would throw him a big party next time he visited the ducal castle, to thank him for his efforts in excavating the Holy Sword.
Back then, Aendydn had a lighthearted look on his face, as if he was saying, “I’m finally free.”
‘I’ll have to send my regards to his family in a bit,’ Yelena thought to herself as she relieved her fatigue from traveling. The bath salts Abbie had selected for her were perfect for recovering from fatigue.
After her bath, Yelena called for Ben. She wanted to request that he store the Holy Sword safely, but more importantly, there was something on her mind that she wanted to confirm.
‘I keep thinking about how the crown prince had grimaced as soon as he looked at my husband.’
His reaction had been over the top. Yelena knew that many people were uncomfortable with her husband because of his rumors and the patches on his face, but that was her first time seeing such a blatantly vehement reaction.
‘Perhaps…’
“Madam, did you call for me?”
“Ben. You’ve come at the right time. I called you because I wanted to ask you something. It’s about Crown Prince Bartèze…”
She wanted to ask if there was bad blood between her husband and the crown prince. But before she could even ask, Ben widened his eyes and brought his hand to the back of his neck.
“Ben?”

A short while after, Ben just barely returned to normal.
Yelena studied him with a worried look on her face. Something serious could have happened to him, with his old age and all. Meanwhile, she searched her memory and thought she vaguely remembered something, more or less.
Come to think of it, she thought she heard him say something similar when they had first talked about Thomas.
“Yeah, I remember.”
“Crown Prince Bartèze… is the name that provokes the strongest reaction from me.”
Yelena’s face hardened. Those words could only be interpreted in a bad way.
“How did the crown prince treat my husband?”
“We’d be here for ages if I were to tell you the full of it. Long story short, his every word and action was filled with contempt and disdain for Master.”
Ben shuddered, as if just thinking about it made him uneasy.
“Do you know what the most ridiculous part about that rascal was?”
That rascal. It was a very disrespectful way to address the crown prince, but Yelena was the only one to hear it anyway. Of course, Yelena made no comment about Ben’s extreme nickname for the crown prince.
“What was it?”
“Truthfully, Crown Prince Bartèze has an inferiority complex towards Master Sidrion.”
“What?”
“I’m sure you already know that the color of the crown prince’s hair and eyes are awfully ordinary.”
“They are.” Yelena nodded.
Brown hair and brown eyes.
In a crowd of people, one would be able to see someone with the same hair and eyes at every third step.
“Crown Prince Bartèze always had a severe inferiority complex regarding that fact. He was supposed to be special, but he wasn’t.”
“Hm…”
“And then, he saw Master Sidrion.”
“I can predict what happened.”
Yelena thought about Sidrion’s appearance.

His appearance made him look like a lofty angel, but on the other hand, “prince from a fairy tale” also came to mind.
‘Since Black Tower Owner had what he didn’t, he became jealous and developed an inferiority complex.’
“But what does that have to do with his careless treatment of my husband…” Yl mumbled. Then, she scowled.
Could it be? She didn’t want to believe that it was so, but she couldn’t think of any other reason besides that.
“…Is it because Black Tower Owner and my husband are friends?”
“Yes, that’s exactly it.”
“Goodness… Black Tower Owner is the one he felt inferior to, so he should’ve taken it out on him instead.”
“Master Sidrion isn’t the type to stay still if someone messes with him.”
Ben sighed as he shook his head. The look on his face expressed a number of emotions, one of them being frustration.
“You haven’t seen it for yourself, but I’m sure you’ve heard about how Master Sidrion is not like other people.”
‘I sure have.’
Yelena had heard that Sidrion had ravaged the entire estate of some billionaire who had bothered him. He certainly wasn’t like other people.
“…He couldn’t bring himself to mess with Black Tower Owner because he knew that there’d be retaliation if he did. So, he took his anger out on my husband, who looked like an easy target because he wouldn’t do anything back?”
Ben nodded as if he was saying that she had hit the bullseye.
