"Ugh!" Compass Carburettor grunted before unleashing a hail of feathers at the Elf, also sending two Spydragons flying at it. He immediately used the System Fragment of Reality Marble, gaining it as a Skill as he poured Mental Energy into it, rapidly raising it to Level 10 before activating it.
Core Skill—Directional Misalignment!
Core Skill—Reality Marble!
"Fuck!" He shouted, realising just how massive the Elf's presence was. 50,000 Mental Energy was spent just to cause the Elf to stop in its tracks using Directional Misalignment. And this was for a second.
In the second that the Elf had been stopped, Reality Marble took effect around it, turning its surroundings into a vacuum, surrounded by a tough layer of rock that seemed to span for a vast distance.
And in the meantime, the feathers and the two Spydragons also arrived within the Reality Marble, slamming into the Elf. A transparent barrier appeared around it, calmly defending against the attack.
Moreover, even though it was a vacuum, the Elf wasn't affected, for this transparent barrier was definitely from a cultivation world, allowing it to survive in the void.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe moment the Elf was trapped within the Reality Marble, the psychokinesis affecting his large aircraft disappeared as Compass Carburettor took the chance to fly as far away as possible.
He was aware that his Reality Marble wouldn't stop the Elf for long, even though he made it into a vacuum chamber, the walls of which were made from tough bedrock that spanned a thickness of a couple kilometres.
That was the limit as to what he could conjure in a second. He couldn't think of anything elaborate when pressed for time, not to mention in his severe state of mental fatigue.
Compass Carburettor was able to observe the Elf's action within the Reality Marble while in reality, there was no longer a figure of the Elf.
"Reality Marble is indeed convenient, huh." The Elf muttered before looking around, "Such a massive space. How does he have so much Mental Energy to splurge?"
The Elf brought out another flying sword that it enlarged in size, causing it to glow with a bluish-red hue as it hummed with a terrific radiance, shooting forth as it pierced through the bedrock, breaking into pieces when it almost reached the end.
The Elf's eyes widened in surprise for a moment before it launched a second flying sword, shattering the walls of this Reality Marble, watching the scenery around it crack and shatter, returning it to reality.
When it looked, the figure of the aircraft was no longer there, clicking its tongue, "Never thought a normal System Slayer would slip by my hands twice. He's a slippery cockroach."
"This has indeed become annoying now." Saying so, the Elf shook its head, 'The moment I take action, the Coincidental Luck System works on hindering me. Otherwise, I wouldn't have arrived here so late.'
Right as it had thought as such, thousands of birds, all having two horns, flew at it, treating it as prey, unleashing breath attacks in a variety of means.
The Elf condensed a barrier to defend against the attacks as its flying sword began to move, quickly leaving them behind as it vanished. It clearly didn't wish to stay in the place for long.
After all, the more it stayed at one place, the more the luck of the region itself worked against it. So, it had to constantly be on the move.
That was also why Compass Carburettor had been able to move to different places.
'I'll have to first kill Rhizen. This is turning into a waste of time otherwise.' The Elf muttered, 'If only Shyvern manages to finish his preparations.'
It sighed, muttering, "To think Compass Carburettor targeted them accurately. Thanks to his interference, Chenger's despair has fallen a lot and would take even longer to bring to the peak. This has postponed the plans."
It then smiled, "It has been a long time since I faced any challenge. This is fun." It laughed, 'This is precisely why I had given up the System fragment of Protagonist Luck back then to Destiny Luck System. I'll lose my edge if I rely on luck too much.'

Staying in the System World was the Destiny Luck System, watching Compass Carburettor's actions through the portal. It didn't talk about him much in the group, clearly aware that the other Luck based Systems were also doing the same.
Some of them were still roaming through the other worlds to strengthen themselves while some were just watching from the System World. This was a war between all Systems in the Luck genre after all.
"Compass Carburettor…he's pretty useful…" Destiny Luck System muttered while gazing at him, "Had I found him before Coincidental Luck, I would have roped him to my side."
Its goal was to find and devour all Systems from the Luck genre and reach Grade 2 in status. But, that was easier said than done. After all, to a certain extent, the Luck based Systems were capable of countering each other.
So, in such a case, the best weapon to use against them was of course a True System Slayer. Ever since it met the Elf and obtained Protagonist Luck from it, Destiny Luck System had been scheming.
With two Core Skills, its power had evolved a lot. After all, it was the possessor of Protagonist Luck, the strongest variant in the Luck genre. Adding that onto its Core Skill, Destiny Luck, it had the foundation to go against Coincidental Luck, a terrifying System in the Luck Genre that had devoured almost a dozen Luck based Systems already.
At present, these two were the strongest contenders to reach Grade 2. But, that didn't mean the other candidates were useless either. They too were scheming and gaining strength.
"The Elf will take care of things in this round. It'll be hard to send it in this world again since Coincidental Luck has already begun to develop counters to its abilities." It muttered before smiling, "But, since I can't get Compass Carburettor, I can obtain the next best thing."
Saying so, it caused the portal to vanish, accumulating Mental Energy from the System World as it condensed another portal, watching a young girl staring at a mirror with an expression of destitution.
Upon staring at her, the Destiny Luck System nodded, "Money-Making System, huh. I see, to make the Host perfect for its cause, the changes it can cause them would result in interesting characters like Compass Carburettor."
"Alright, she'll be my second Slayer."
