Beast Taming: The Empress Is Shocked After Peeking Into My Future
Chapter 277 - 277 Wings Of Fire, Worldly Inferno277 Wings Of Fire, Worldly Inferno
“Devouring Grassfire!” Shen Fei roared.
The Flame Owl’s body shrank and returned to its original size. It then opened its mouth and set the surrounding grass aflame. On top of that, it even tried to bite at Xia’er.
Xia’er quickly dodged its bite and the flames that tried to reach for him, but the Flame Owl predicted this and, with a swish of its tail, sent an enormous boulder at where he dodged to. The boulder crashed into Xia’er and everyone heard a sickening snap. The young master’s body was covered in wounds and blood. It looked like he almost died.
Shen Fei did not care. He continued to command the Flame Owl to attack.
Although his Flame Owl was powerful, Xia’er had mastered the laws of the earth attribute, so Shen Fei’s Flame Owl was clearly at a disadvantage.
“Flame Owl, Devour!”
Every time Shen Fei used the Flame Owl’s powers, it consumed a huge amount of energy from both of them. Thus, at this moment, Shen Fei’s Flame Owl was not displaying much of its power. However, its attack range had become much larger, and its base attack had also increased.
As Shen Fei attacked, he thought of a countermeasure, because if this battle became long, he would die of exhaustion sooner or later.
“Flame Owl, merge with me!” Shen Fei suddenly shouted.
The Flame Owl retracted its wings and turned into a black chain that wrapped around Shen Fei’s wrist. It then rapidly merged into his body and disappeared without a trace.
“Such a strong soul fluctuation. This power, could it be…” Shen Fei’s pupils shrank when he felt the strength of the Flame Owl’s soul aura. The look on his face was one of an excited child.
The system’s notification suddenly appeared. [A spirit beast that can mutate has been detected. Would you like to upgrade?]
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“Yes!” Shen Fei promptly replied. A powerful aura then erupted from the Flame Owl’s soul.
[The Flame Owl has mutated successfully.]
Following the system notification, the Flame Owl was like a ball of fire inside Shen Fei. He could even feel the surging heatwaves coming from it, making him tremble.
“Wings of Flame, Worldly Inferno!” Shen Fei cried.
The Flame Owl jumped out of his body suddenly. It spread its wings as it burst with a brilliant shower of sparks, illuminating the entire area in a bright red color.
Then, the Flame Owl flapped its wings and turned into two lines of fire, cutting through the void and flying into the distance. Shen Fei’s eyes squinted as he watched the Flame Owl soar in a wide arc, and it controlled its descent as it gathered momentum to attack the Blood Wolf. At the same time, it opened its mouth, and fireballs were shot out. The flaming balls formed a circle and within that circle, a vortex formed, creating a powerful crushing force that ground up everything inside the ring.
“Sh*t!” Xia’er’s face showed his panic, his body trembled, and he immediately turned to flee.
The Blood Wolf, meanwhile, was fast, but the Flame Owl was even faster. In a blink, it caught up with the wolf.
“Devouring Grassfire, Sweeping Flame Blade!” Shen Fei cried.
A terrifying power shot out from the Flame Owl’s wings and slashed at the surrounding trees, wiping out a large area of the forest in an instant.
Aloy’s eyes widened in shock when she saw this.
“The Flame Owl was at a disadvantage earlier, but it turned the tables in an instant and gained the upper hand. The difference in strength is simply too scary,” Aloy mumbled to herself.
Meanwhile, Xia’er commanded his Blood Wolf, “Blood Wolf, use your powers!”
The Blood Wolf seemed to give a nod. Then, its body sprayed out a cloud of thick blood mist that covered its arms. After that, a blinding blood-red light burst from its arms. It raised its arms and tore the Flame Blade apart!
“Shen Fei, I’ll be the one teaching you a lesson today!” Xia’er glowered at Shen Fei.
“Flame Owl, merge the Flame Blade!” Shen Fei called out.
The severed Flame Blade trembled before it reassembled itself, then it moved to envelope Xia’er.
The Young Master Xia’s expression changed dramatically. He knew that he would not be able to break free once he was wrapped by this power.
“Damn it! This power can even suppress the soul!” Xia’er’s expression was quite unpleasant when he realized this. He could not understand how an ant like Shen Fei could have such frightening power. It was impossible!
Shen Fei’s eyes turned cold as he waved his hand. “Flame Owl, devour.”
The Flame Owl’s body churned out more flames that formed into a ball of raging fire. It rushed toward the Blood Wolf and instantly engulfed it.
“Grargh!” A miserable cry was heard as the wolf’s figure struggled madly in the flames. In just a moment, it was completely burned up and not a single trace was left.
Seeing this, Shen Fei could not help but sigh in relief. Afterwards, his gaze fell on Li Yuan.
“…Li Yuan, do you also wish to test me?”
Li Yuan was stunned, and quickly said, “No, I don’t. Shen Fei, I actually wish to be friends with you…”
“No, thanks. I’m not friend material.”
“But I can see that you have a lot of friends,” Li Yuan said, feeling miffed.
“I’m not friend material… for you,” Shen Fei said unhurriedly. He remembered all the things Li Yuan had done to him.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“Shen Fei, you…” Li Yuan rolled his eyes, as though he could not believe that Shen Fei would hold a grudge against him, the great young master of the Li family. The nerve of him! He schooled his expression and smiled, saying, “I think we can still be friends. What do you think?”
“No.” Shen Fei did not even have to think about it.
“Shen Fei, you…!” Li Yuan’s face finally showed his anger.
“Li Yuan, don’t make me angry, or else you can’t blame me for what I might do next.” Shen Fei leveled a look at him and said, “If you don’t get out of my sight soon, I guarantee that I’ll show you know what it means to be better off dead.”
“Fine! But this isn’t over! I’ll be keeping my eye on you!” Li Yuan continued to say shamelessly.
At this, Shen Fei shook his head in annoyance. Finally, he turned to Aloy and said, “Let’s keep moving.”
As soon as he said this, Shen Fei and Aloy set off, leaving Li Yuan and Xia’er alone.
“Li Yuan, you damned brat! You actually dared to betray me!” Xia’er smashed the rock beside him and gritted his teeth. “That little b*stard Shen Fei is too despicable and shameless. After I get rid of him, I’ll deal with you!”
……
Shen Fei and Aloy continued with their task.
“Phew!” Shen Fei let out a long sigh of relief, finally letting his heart relax.
“What’s wrong, Shen Fei?” Aloy asked.
Shen Fei sighed. “Haven’t you noticed? That guy Li Yuan has been following us for a while.”
Aloy nodded. “We can’t trust that b*stard, he definitely has bad intentions.”
