Chapter 174

That night, Natalie shone like a star on the stage, impossible for anyone to overlook. With her angelic face, she

somehow radiated a provocative allure that was almost sinful, making onlookers itch with a desire to pull her

down and shower her with affection.

He had raced there, eager to meet her after being honored with such distinction. But little did he know that he

was walking straight into a trap!

With tears streaming down her face, Gracia ducked under the covers to hide her shame. But it was too late. The

media vultures outside had caught every moment of the scandal.

Natalie stood outside the door, coldly observing the unfold before her.

After a while, she tugged at the sleeves of two reporters at the back and whispered, “Do you know who's in

there?”

The chaos was so intense that the reporters had barely captured clear shots of the person in question. How could

anyone recognize who was in the bed?

Natalie gave the reporters a sly smile and murmured, “Tonight's Best Actress award-winner, Gracia. My guess?

She slept her way to the top. You'll have front-page news tomorrow.”

With those parting words, she picked up her suitcase, ready to leave the mess behind her. Out of sight, out of

mind.

As she turned to go, she caught Brian's gaze from a short distance away, his eyes thoughtful as they rested on

her.

Boarding her flight, Natalie glanced back at the private jet in the distance.

The first rays of the sun cast a spotlight on the two figures in front of the plane, an image of perfection if not for

Gracia’s bruised and swollen face, hidden behind a mask as she wept into Brian's shoulder. He consoled her with

gentle pats, a picture of comfort.

Natalie couldn't suppress a disdainful curl of her lip.

Hypocrites always play the victim.

If the media had exposed her instead, she was sure Gracia would be somewhere cackling with glee.

“Your ticket, please,” the flight attendant asked with a smile.

Natalie handed her pass to the near-empty business class cabin for the early 5 AM flight.

Settling into her seat, she pulled out an eye mask and a face cream, ready to pamper herself.

The previous night was a sleepless one. Gracia had called the cops.

The police investigation turned up nothing conclusive. Natalie played dumb, and Gracia’s

claims that Natalie had set her up were weak without solid evidence. The director refused to cooperate, offering

only a vague invitation note as his alibi.

Gracia persisted until the early hours when Brian, face ashen with anger, snapped, “Enough!” And only then did

she let the police go.

Unable to stand another minute of the , Natalie had booked the earliest flight, packed her bags, and

headed to the airport, only to find they had followed her. Likely, they were all heading back to Country Solara.

As she lay back, Natalie grabbed her phone and sent a voice message to Gavin. [Got a juicy scandal about

Gracia and that famous international director for you. She should be landing between 7 and 8 AM local time. As

for which airport, no clue. You might have your people at all of them. Consider this a freebie for your

entertainment section. You're welcome.]

[You can’t get local news apps where you are, so just to let you know, it's already blown up over here,] Gavin

replied immediately, [Such news spreads faster than wildfire.]

Natalie smirked with schadenfreude, tossed her phone aside, applied her face cream, and covered her eyes with

the mask, ready to catch up on smuch-needed sleep.

She was exhausted from the past few days. Her body had not fully recovered, and the pain from a wound on her

back still nagged at her.
