"Do you think Dilan is serious with what he said?" Lara asked Marie, concern gleaming in her eyes.
Lara was not able to control her emotions as she was pregnant and she had heard too many frightening things about their father.
To her, it was obvious that they would never be able to escape their father forever, yet, Dilan was confident that he could defeat their father. That shouldn't be possible, or so Lara presumed in her current mental state.
"He is serious about killing dad, and I do think that he is very powerful…but I'm also unsure if Dilan's strength is enough to let him tackle dad alone…" Marie revealed in all honesty. The two sisters were currently seated on Rory's head, and they were tied there to Rory, who had used her mana to make sure that the two women would never fall from her head.
They were currently high in the air and searching for the Behemoth that Dilan wanted to defeat. His victory over the monster would prove to the Mekaz military Family that he was the person who could make sure that everyone was secure.
Dilan wanted both Marie and Lara to be safe and sound in the Sanctum of the Old Vampire Lord, and it would be even more secure with the Mekaz family, their people, technology, and magical knowledge by his side.
With that in mind, he was more than willing to eliminate a terrifying threat, which nobody else could obliterate; Behemoth.
However, even after fighting and defeating his father, the world wouldn't be safe. Dilan was pretty sure that the troublesome part would only start from then onward. He had to be ready to face dangers and create opportunities to become stronger. Heavenly treasures wouldn't just fall in his lap so he would have to give his utmost to get his hands on them!
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtWith that in mind, Dilan turned around to the Mekaz family, who had decided to follow him to witness his battle against the Behemoth.
There were Karla, Clark's mother, Jörg, Clark's father, Paula, Clark's younger sister, and Clark himself.
Both Karla and Jörg were powerful Ascenders, but they knew that Dilan was manyfold stronger than them. It didn't take them much to analyze this. As for Paula, she was around Dilan's age and she was an Ascender as well.
She was pretty weak in terms of physical strength but rather adept at the process of reattaching broken limbs and healing the injured people others had torn apart. She pursued the Priestess occupation and focused entirely on healing abilities, whether it was active or passive!
As for Clark, he was a helpless case. He was powerful and had the talent to become much stronger as he was in possession of a mighty Origin ability, but his personality was a mess, a chaotic mess of weirdness.
"So once I defeat the Behemoth, you guys will follow me to Camsun, including everyone from the military base?" Dilan asked, trying to make sure that he understood everything properly.
However, Jörg Mekaz shook his head.
"We cannot speak for others because they're not our slaves, but we will follow you. I will also put in a good word or two about your strength and your promises. Most Soldiers will probably follow you with their families. But there will be a problem!" Jörg explained and took a pause to see if Dilan was ready to hear it.
Dilan motioned his hand to show that he wanted Jörg to go on.
"The biggest problem is that our departure won't go unnoticed. That means the moment everyone has left the military base, your father will take note of the situation. He has people everywhere.
If we use storage rings to store everything, we still have more than 100,000 humans to transport from one continent to another. Even if we were to use Rory, it would take a while before everyone moved over!" Jörg explained the problem.
Dilan understood immediately and a small smile appeared on his face.
"You are worried that my father will interfere and kill your subordinates, aren't you? Don't worry, I want to beat the shit out of him once I have warmed up my body and fought the Behemoth!" Dilan exclaimed and his eyes turned crimson for a moment as his bloodlust oozed out of his body.
The pressure around Dilan intensified for a few seconds before Rory sent him a mental note that reminded him about his sisters' presence.
They were not Ascenders and would die the moment Dilan's pressure would pierce through the protection layer Rory had put around them.
Rory had become the guardian of the sisters and it was her mission to protect them from any kind of pain, uncomfortable situations, and annoying people.
She did so willingly, knowing that it was very important for Dilan. It was because of Rory's proposal to look after his sisters that Dilan could focus on the Behemoth hunt.
Some time passed and they reached an area where a small mountain was located right next to a larger mountain. At least that was what it looked like at the first glance.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Looks like the Behemoth is bigger than your description," Dilan merely said, his eyes never leaving the smaller mountain's sight. The others turned over to the smaller mountain as well and their expressions changed gradually.
It looked like their eyeballs were about to fall out, which would have been an amusing sight under normal circumstances.
Unfortunately, the current situation was far from funny. The Behemoth had grown to a height of far more than one kilometer and he was more than three kilometers long.
Dilan looked down at the Cursed Dagger and the Blessed Blade, which he had unsheathed instinctively, and his smile distorted.
"Don't you think that you will need longer and bigger weapons?" Clark asked, looking at the two daggers Dilan was holding. Their blades were only 30 centimeters long, far from enough to inflict deep gashes in the flesh of the Behemoth.
In fact, it was unlikely that 30 centimeters were enough to dig through the Behemoth's skin.
Dilan thought about the same but he didn't seem to be all that bothered about the Behemoth.
"Aren't you a bit too worried about that huge tank-like existence? From the looks of it, the only troublesome part is its huge size and the fact that it is actually a Tier-4 Mythical Creature with a regenerative ability!" Dilan explained before he laughed out loud.
"I wonder if dad was unable to defeat the Behemoth because of that Regeneration…" He blurted out, and the fire in his eyes grew stronger. His expression turned scarier by the second and it was only a matter of time before even his sisters couldn't help but feel a little bit worried about Dilan's attitude toward their father.
It was not as if they didn't want to see their father dead, but in their opinion, it was much better to ignore their father's existence rather than actively trying to face him.
However, they also knew that they hadn't been mistreated as much as Dilan. Arnes Cier left his daughters mostly in peace, while Dilan, despite being their only son, was treated as if he was a piece of trash.
Thanks to his father, Dilan had never valued his life in the past. It took his friends a tremendous amount of effort to fix Dilan's crippled image of himself, and it was only now that he was given the first opportunity to take revenge for everything his dad had done to him.
"I wonder if that huge thing has stronger regenerative abilities than I do!"
