Chapter 716 I Think He Was Deceived
"I don't need you to remind me. I know." Although Yvonne was helping her, Alicia felt
indifferent toward her. If Yvonne hadn't employed her brother to be her bodyguard, he
wouldn't have ended that way.
Yvonne didn't care about her bad attitude. In her eyes, she didn't have to care as long as
they could go against Jenny.
Jenny had long forgotten Jonathan Flynn. She'd also forgotten about his sister, much less
anticipate her coming to look for her.
At night, Jenny received a call from her senior, who was a psychologist.
"How is the psychologist I recommended before?" He had called to ask specifically about
that. If the treatment wasn't going well, he planned to recommend another one to Jenny.
Jenny suddenly remembered the matter and asked, "I never got to know her name. Who is
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtshe?"
Alec said that her treatment was effective, but Jenny felt that there was something off
about him. She wanted to find out for herself.
"Her name is Blake Watkins. She's a real beauty." Her senior chuckled on the other end.
However, Jenny was stunned.
Blake Watkins? Wasn't she the daughter of the Watkins family?
So, Alec's psychologist had stayed by his side, and now they were together.
Things grew fishier the more she thought about it. Jenny’s heart was troubled even more
now that she learned that Blake was Alec's psychologist.
After hanging up, Jenny prepared to call Alec. However, she hesitated just as she was
about to press the dial button.
In the end, she called Vincent.
"Miss Jenny?" Vincent had already come to Bardoff City and was working in Faust Group as
usual. Though to be precise, it was Wagner Group now.
Alec hadn't brought him to the Faust family with him. Perhaps he hadn't deemed it
necessary. Maybe it wasn't the time yet.
"Vincent, I'd like you to find something out for me." Then, Jenny asked him to tell her all
about what happened after Alec returned, especially the oddities about him.
Vincent had indeed thought that Alec was behaving weirdly. He hadn't planned on telling
Jenny this because it was Alec's personal business. But when he heard Jenny also say that
Alec was behaving weirdly and was possibly deceived, he told her everything he knew.
Afterward, Jenny called Old Mr. Faust. He, too, said that something was off with Alec. As a
confirmation, she called Paul.
Old Mr. Faust was in Parrington, after all, and Alec hadn't contacted him after his return.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe one he would keep in touch with was most probably Paul Wagner.
Paul didn’t treat her kindly. He said coldly, "Anything weird about him?
What are you asking this for?"
"I just suspect he's been deceived," Jenny said honestly. She believed that Paul was
worried about Alec, too.
Paul frowned when he heard her. "You're not saying this just because he doesn't like you
anymore, are you?"
"That has nothing to do with it. Don't you think he's been behaving abnormally? If not, you
can pretend that this call never happened. But if you do, and you're refusing to tell me for
personal reasons, you're not thinking of Alec as a friend and letting him be manipulated."
She was placing the responsibility on him. Now, Paul had to tell her the truth regardless of
whether he wanted to.
