Chapter 26: Li Chang Yin

That being said… how much he could help was still rather in question.

Soon enough, the two of them arrived at the classroom.

Di Tou stopped just outside the door and gave Fu Hao Xin two pats on the back, "Don't worry, you'll be fine, just tell the truth."

Fu Hao Xin took a deep breath and walked into the room.

"Teacher Li, good morning."

"Hao Xin, is it? It's still a bit early for class, what are you doing here?"

"Teacher Li, I wanted to make a confession."

"Hoh?"

"I've been getting harassed by many members of the class, just this morning I got beat up by Da Niu, Er Niu, and San Niu this morning, see?" Fu Hao Xin lifted his robes a bit, trying to show off the places that were obviously damaged, as well as pulling up his sleeve a bit to show off a bruise.

Teacher Li, who's full name was Li Chang Yin stared at Fu Hao Xin, not speaking.

Just as Fu Hao Xin was starting to sweat and wanted to say something to break the silence.

"So what?"

Fu Hao Xin seemed a little lost at these words, "So what…? Doesn't it matter that I've bee-"

"So what if you've been harassed? If you can't fight back that's your problem. Why are you bringing it to me."

Fu Hao Xin's hopes died down, he had somewhat expected such a result, but in the pockets of his heart he was really hoping things would turn out differently. "Ah- I'm sor-"

"SO WHAT? YOU PIECE OF SH*T EDUCATOR, SO WHAT YOUR MOTHER." Di Tou shouted rushing in.

Li Chang Yin stood up infuriated, "Who the hell do you-"

"SHUT UP!" Di Tou roared, "Who gave you the balls to call yourself a teacher? A student comes up to you trying to seek justice and you tell him so what?"

Li Chang Yin paled, "I-"

Fu Hao Xin tugged at the back of Di Tou's robe, trying to get him to stop.

Di Tou shrugged Hao Xin off, stuck in the heat of the moment, "Do you not understand what I'm saying? Do you have sh*t for brains? I'm telling you you're a failure. What sort of teacher do you think you are? A good honest student is sent to the pig's pen by you, while the trash is praised? Do you think you can grow a flower out of just sh*t? Are you blind?"

"I-"

"What do you think your job is as a teacher? I'll tell you because you clearly don't know, your job is to educate. And what sort of f*cking message are you teaching these kids when you watch all this happen. F*ck if that wasn't bad enough the kid comes up to you and opens his heart and you say so what? I'll show you so what."

"This is-"

"Is it about money? Is it that important to you? Alright, I'll speak to you in a language that you can understand." Di Tou slammed down the one higher quality stone that he had taken from the box as a gamble.

"Here, it's money. Now I expect to see that everything is resolved properly by the next time I'm here or else. HMPH."

Li Chang Yin looked at the stone on his desk in horror like it was an incarnation of death itself.

Turning around, Di Tou grabbed Fu Hao Xin's sleeve, "Come Xiao Fu, let's go. No point in wasting time on a wastrel like this b*stard."

As the two left, Li Chang Yin was left in a state of shock, his mouth gaped half open, his face pale, and sweat trekking down his brows. This was a problem, a big problem. After a moment or two Li Chang Yin managed to recover himself and stood up to write on the blackboard that class was cancelled for the day before hurrying out the backdoor hoping to avoid Di Tou.

On the other side, exiting the room, Di Tou was also having cold sweats run down his back.

F*ck had that been him who was so bold in there? What had happened to being low key, what had happened to not taking any risks until he knew more about the situation?

He had gotten carried away in the heat of the moment and had rushed in before he knew it. If his first sentence was truly angry, by the second one Di Tou had already woken up. He was out here berating a man who could likely kill him with just a finger.

But at this point he had already gone this far, so he could only keep up the act and keep yelling, hoping that Mu Di Bai's image was bad enough that this couldn't be considered out of the ordinary, and that the teacher in the room wouldn't drop his elegant demeanor and status as a teacher to attack an old man.

So, after dropping a few more sentences to finish the act, he quickly grabbed Fu Hao Xin and got out of the room while the opponent was still stunned from the situation. Now the number one objective was to get out of here before the other party could think about chasing them.

Little did Di Tou know that he had indeed been quite accurate in his response, at least for this situation. While most of the staff weren't that familiar with Mu Di Bai and might have lashed out after the first sentence, Li Chang Yin was someone who was rather familiar with Mu Di Bai's notorious side, and might have been suspicious if Di Tou had acted any other way. In such a way, Di Tou was really quite lucky. Had he played this show with anyone else he would probably be dead by now, as even a probing attack from the opponent would leave him as a pile of meat paste. He would have died quietly and the opponent would have been convicted of a crime unjustly.

While Di Tou was sweating, Fu Hao Xin was looking at him with worship written in his face.

The moment that Li Chang Yin had said "so what", Fu Hao Xin had essentially given up on the Academy.

He had already resolved in his heart before the meeting that if things went poorly he would unenroll and travel the continent as a wanderer, who knew, perhaps he'd find a fortuitous encounter and make it back, but it was clear there was nothing left in the Academy for him.

As for Di Tou, Fu Hao Xin had never had that much hope in him being able to change anything. After all, when Di Tou had pushed him Fu Hao Xin had noticed that his strength was very low, so low that it was unreasonable for someone his age.

But in the end Fu Hao Xin was left truly surprised at the way Di Tou was able to cower the usually strict and emotionless Li Chang Yin.

And beyond that… Fu Hao Xin gave Di Tou another onceover, someone who was able to bring out a superior quality spirit stone on a whim like that wasn't anyone simple. In fact, it could be considered burning money. After all, a stone like that could buy a high-quality earth level treasure.

With a slight spring in his step, Fu Hao Xin realized that Di Tou had continued walking while he was thinking and sped up to catch up with him.

"By the way senior, what's your position in the Academy anyways?"

"Haha, nothing special, nothing special, this old man is just a janitor."
