Artox paused when he felt the presence of multiple powerful beings appear behind him. He spun around in a flash and his scales suddenly churned, revealing sharp ends that glinted menacingly under the glow of the mana crystals.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Artox naturally thought that Leon was trying to pull something on him and was prepared to retaliate. He immediately regretted teaming up with Leon.

Leon innocently raised his hands. "I guess I didn't tell you. I'm a Necromancer." Leon said. As he said so, his summons arrived behind him, each one a new being. A rank auras flowed from their bodies like waves of steam that radiated from a heated mass of water. "These are my summons." He gestured to the numerous summons that arrived behind him.

Artox's eyes were still narrowed and he did not let down his guard. Instead, he proposed something different.

"Why don't you and your summons walk up front? The boss room is just up ahead." He suggested.

"That's fine by me." Leon shrugged. He knew that he was too suspicious in the eyes of the other party and he was not willing to argue over something so trivial.

Artox stood to the side as Leon and his summons walked past him. His attention was fixed on Leon's elite summons, as he could scarcely believe that Leon had so many A rank summons underneath him.

'I do not remember hearing of such a Necromancer before on the Demon Continent. Especially one that is so relaxed.' He thought to himself.

Normally, at this level of strength, anyone who dabbled in magic or whatever would be rather eccentric. Most people were capable of hiding it, but beings that dipped their fingers in Dark and Unholy magic would find it much more difficult to keep themselves together like how Leon was.

'Strange. I need to keep my eyes open for any sneak attack.' Artox could not lower his guard, as the fact that Leon seemed 'normal' was already a red flag in his eyes.

The group continued on through the tunnel, this time, much larger than before. The tunnel was relatively straight from what Leon could see. For some reason, he was not able to peer as far into the darkness as he could before they began walking through this tunnel. He silently raised up his guard.

As they walked, Leon conversed with his summons that had broken through to A rank.

"How does it feel?" He asked them and they all responded with similar replies of how they felt liberated and would be able to serve him better.

Whoosh!

All of a sudden, a strange, domineering pressure spread through the tunnel and Leon paused, feeling the gaze of someone else other than those in the tunnel on his body. He looked around and met Artox's eyes.

"It's him. The dungeon boss." Artox nodded his head. "He has noticed us."

"I guess it was bound to happen." Leon sighed. He was not really surprised, considering the strength of what they were about to go up against. Not only that, but the dungeon was also his territory, so it made sense that he was aware of what went on in it to a certain extent.

The domineering presence lingered all through the walk to the tunnel, until eventually, they reached its end. At the end of the tunnel, a large, circular door with a single eye stood. In the center of the eye was a yellow vertical slit that glowed dimly with power.

Thud. Boom!

A dull thud shook the ground and the yellow slit flashed brightly before the circular door split into two, allowing the party to make their way into the boss room.

"Well, well, well. I was not expecting so many guests!" A powerful voice thrummed through the air and the same domineering pressure that Leon felt in the tunnel returned, but with many times more the weight of before.

'This is the unrestrained power of a Peak A rank!' Leon thought to himself as he looked around. The pressure was something he could offset so it did not bother him. It was just like a strong wind that did no harm to him.

The entire space was covered by a gray fog that gradually vanished the longer they spent in the boss room. Before long, they could see the entire space, and they were all taken aback by the sight before them.

Thud!

A large figure flashed up in the sky and landed down on the ground some distance away from them as the boss made himself known.

The boss was a four meter tall Demonic being with two horns atop his head and a long tail behind him. His gray skin was stretched tight over the muscles that framed his body, and his two eyes glowed with bright yellow light. The eyes in his sockets were just like the eye that had been on the door that led into the boss room.

(A/N: See it here.)

Behind him, a giant, floating rock that was as large as a mountain floated in the sky. The rock was far from ordinary, however, as it was a reflection of the eerie eyes in his sockets. It was a giant black mass with a single yellow, glowing slit down the middle.

"Welcome! To my Domain!" The giant Demonic boss monster cackled wildly as it spread open its arms. As he cackled, the glowing light in the yellow slit of the giant rock in the sky pulsed with power. Leon's attention was drawn to the giant rock as he felt a strange force on the rock.

He looked closer, and lo and behold, there was a smaller Diamond Pangolin chained up in the center of the slit. Many black chains wrapped around its limp body, draining the life force out of it.

Artox's eyes shriveled up when he saw the form of the small Diamond Pangolin chained up. His aura turned chaotic as he yelled.

"MY CHILD!!!"

"Oho? Your child? I'm sorry, but that Diamond Pangolin belongs to me now." The boss monster stopped its laughter and smirked down at Artox.
