Chapter 126 No One Dares To Disobey You
Wow does he have a death wish! She actually dared to wake Elm up!”
Let’s just sit back and enjoy the show! Waking up Elm will definitely get her into trouble.”
It Elm was sech sleeping in class, no one would dare to disturb him. The chatter in the classroom
would be quieter than usual.
However, something quite surprising happened that day. Usually, Elm would either not show up for
class or only arrive in the afternoon. Therefore, no one expected him to be the first
one to arrive.
Elm Elm!”
Eileen gently patted his shoulder, calling out several times.
Vera had just returned from lunch with Walsh when he saw Eileen. “Eileen? What brings you here?”
She then glanced at the person lying on the table. “Are you here to see Elm? He seems to be a bit sick.
What do you need from him?”
Sick? I see.
Eileen pursed her lips and replied, “Never mind then. I’ll talk to him next time!”
I’ll let him have a good rest, as yesterday was indeed quite cold.
Elm had given her his coat, then sat on a stone bench in his black short-sleeved shirt, as if to show off
his youthful vigor.
Eileen had also inhaled secondhand smoke for more than an hour.
It would be surprising if he didn’t catch a cold in such weather.
There was no need for him to act this way, which only made her more puzzled by Elm’s
actions.
He clearly despises her, yet…
Suddenly, the person sprawled on the table stirred. Elm sat up, squinting his eyes. The hair in front of
his forehead was a bit messy. As he leaned back, he gave her a languid look. “What’s up?” His voice
sounded hoarse and weak, a clear indication that he was really sick.
Eileen placed her notes on his desk. “These are notes on geography and history. You have an

tam next week, right? These should come in handy. If you memorize them all, getting a seventy or
eighty score shouldn’t be a problem.”
When Elm flipped the book open, it was filled with pages rustling one after another. The handwriting on
it was clear and elegant. Her handwriting is quite good.
All of it?
Upon hearing these words, everyone in the class began to wonder if they were seeing things!
Is Elm with Eileen?
Seriously?
Aren’t they enemies?
From the moment they first met, the two couldn’t stand each other. Now, it was surprising that Elm
would even spare Eileen’s notes a glance, let alone start studying them.
The sight came as a shock to everyone present.
“Yes, note everything down. No slacking off. I will check.”
Elm scratched the back of his head and caught his breath awkwardly. “Understood.”
Studying had never really mattered to him, and now, he had to memorize so much.
He suspected this was a form of self-punishment.
D*mn it! Why did I go looking for trouble.
After Eileen left to attend her Olympiad Math Class, Charlie stared at Elm in disbelief.
“Have you lost your mind? How did you get involved with Eileen? And you’re studying her notes now?
Elm, have you seriously lost your marbles?”
Elm retorted, “Get lost!”
Vera said, “Elm, if you need notes, I can lend you mine. Eileen is busy studying and attending her
extracurricular class, so she’s pretty busy.”
Elm continued to lie down and fell asleep without paying them any heed.
To case Vera’s embarrassment, Charlie joked, “He’s just pretending. Don’t mind him. How about
lending me your notes to look at?”
Vera chuckled. “Alright then!”

What Charlie said was also in jest. With his current grades, his family had already written him off as a
lost cause, with no hope of him becoming successful.
His father was all set to have him join the military as soon as he graduated.
The blond hair that he originally dyed had also been shaved off by his father.
Charlie received the notes given by Vera. Flipping through a page, he found it packed with detailed
information.
Truth be told, he wasn’t serious with what he said. He didn’t really plan on reading it, but since it was
given to him, he couldn’t bear to waste someone else’s good intentions.
In the evening, there’s a self-study period lasting over two hours. No teacher was supervising. so it was
all down to one’s self-discipline.
Eileen had already missed several evening study sessions due to her previous illness.
Now she must make up for everything she had fallen behind in.
In just a few days, there were already over a dozen test papers. Even though they were only two-sided,
one side covered knowledge from the textbooks, while the other side went beyond the syllabus,
featuring rather difficult questions.
Eileen was engrossed in her test paper when she suddenly felt something was missing from her day.
As she pondered on what it was, she heard familiar voices. It was Yvette chatting with another girl after
returning from the restroom.
I almost forgot about Yvette. She didn’t come to see me at all today. No wonder, it’s so quiet. It must be
because of what I said to her last time. It must have made her feel uneasy. That’s why she’s ignoring
me in school today. It’s for the better I guess.
At first, Eileen indeed planned to introduce Yvette to Eric. However, after that dinner. Eileen felt that
Yvette didn’t need her help.
Yvette is lively and carefree. With such a strong background, there really is no need to behave
pretentiously.
Without Yvette, Eileen didn’t feel out of sorts.

“Who else? That stubborn old man.”
Yvette was seated in the third seat from the end of the second row. Her voice was neither too
loud nor too soft. As the classroom was quiet, her voice was clearly heard by Eileen.

Why are we looking for him? Sure, he’s handsome and well-mannered, but his ag time we had a social
gathering there were so many young guys. You can’t possibly tell me you didn’t like any of them? Didn’t
you add several of them to your contact?”
Yvette expressed her disdain. “Them? Absolutely not. They are all inexperienced and clingy. I prefer
someone mature, someone who is not easily attainable. Only then does it feel like a challenge.”
Another girl offered her a suggestion. “Didn’t you mention last time that your families have a business
partnership? Why not have him pick you up after class? You are, after all, highly regarded by the
Friedman family. No one would dare to disobey you.”
“Of course. If he dares to disobey. I will ensure that he regrets it.”
Eric is coming over?
Eileen glanced at her watch. There was still thirty minutes left until the end of the self-study session.
The distance from Euphoria Condominium to the school was not very far, just a ten- minute drive away.
I should leave quietly. Considering Eric’s unpredictable temper, who knows what he might do when he
sees me.
Eileen didn’t dwell on it any further. After solving the last problem, she still had fifteen minutes to spare.
She packed her things and slung her bag over her shoulder. Without hesitation, she left the classroom.
By then, it was almost nine o’clock.
Except for Class Six, all the lights in the school were turned off.
After walking through a long corridor, she took the elevator down to the first floor.
There, she noticed that the lights in one of the classrooms were still on.
She walked over and peered into the farthest corner of the classroom. There was a slight crack in the
window, allowing a gentle breeze to blow, causing Elm’s hair to sway. He had one hand stretched out,
while the other was bent, resting in the crook of his arm. He appeared to be asleep.
Eileen quietly approached and discovered that her notebook was still under his hand.
