When Max felt that his connection to the clone severed, he immediately frowned and used the spell [ Scan ] to have a better understanding of his surroundings.
It was completely normal for the clone to have died in battle against the sea of opponents it was facing, but since Max himself was still alive and doing well, he doubted that the clone would have been pushed to the brink of defeat.
The result of the [ Scan ] was rather positive as he could only sense one tier6 god remaining on the left valley-top where the clone was fighting and no other signs of life.
Max almost felt ironic. The clone had defeated close to 60 tier6 gods total, yet had died against the very last one.
This meant that he could not merge with the clone and get all the monstrous EXP for those kills.
His heart bled at the very thought of the great loss he had just suffered, however, he also understood that more importantly than the exp, he needed to ensure that he killed the last god on the left valley as well.
The news that Max Rajput had died in battle could absolutely not be allowed to spread throughout the universe and all eye witnesses needed to be terminated by hook or by crook.
Just as Max made a mental note of the situation and refocused on his battle against the god's across him, he felt a suffocating pressure enveloping the battlefield as both his twin hearts began beating extremely fast.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe knew exactly whose pressure this was and what it signified, however, before he could even move a single foot, time itself seemed to slow down as Max suddenly found himself barely capable of movement.
He watched clearly as two [ Darkness Blast ] attacks unleashed by the demon gods across him approached him extremely slowly.
He could also vividly see every expression change on the faces of the demons as they too found themselves oppressed under a powerful time spell and incapable of movement.
However, what he saw next, he wasn't ready for at all, as a decapitated turtle head entered the corner of his vision, before slowly completing a trajectory right in front of his eyes as it rolled a full 180°, giving Max a complete view of a horrendous deed.
Max's mind blanked out, for a moment he forgot how to breathe as unbelievable grief gripped his body.
This head undoubtedly belonged to his master Kremeth, and as he had already recognised who the suffocating pressure belonged to, seeing the head gave him a full account of what exactly had transpired and it left him with immense grief.
The bastard Shaman God Angakok had exacted revenge on his master Kremeth for interfering with his plans, and had now come to the dimensional battlefield to gloat in front of Max.
Tears formed in Max's eyes as he felt overwhelmed with a sense of loss as his body began to subconsciously shiver.
Master Kremeth was like a second father to him.
When he had taken him in during the dragon's paradise dungeon raid, Max was a manaless trash who did not even understand the proper stance that needed to be used in battle.
It was back then that Kremeth had fed him with nutritious soup, showed him a glimpse of what true godly power looked like and taken him in as a disciple.
His teaching method was undeniably unorthodox.
He was a staunch coward and his lessons revolved around cowardry, but despite his disposition there was no denying of the fact that he was one of the strongest gods Max had ever come across.
His training was brutal, but at the end of the day he was still very kind.
Not only did he heal all of Max's injuries, but he also took time to point him in the right direction and guide his progress.
He cured Max of his inability to sense mana in a very dangerous and expensive ritual that cost him a personal fortune of his personal wealth, yet he never asked for anything in return.
Never did he ' WANT ' anything from Max or Sebastian or Mira and had raised all three with unidirectional love.
Everything Max had achieved today, he could have never done it without Kremeth, as the turtle god was his go-to mentor in life not only during his dragon's paradise days, but even in life as a whole.
Whether it was guiding him for the tier 6 promotion, saving him from Angakok, or giving Sebastian the Vayu-Astra, the old turtle had always been there for his students and now he was dead…..
He was dead because a vindictive Shaman God had decided that he did not deserve a calm retirement which he had always dreamed of and had gone to pick a fight with him after he had already given up his most precious treasure.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm" Why ?….. " ? Max spoke as the words barely left his mouth.
The loss he felt at the moment was so intense that the pain felt almost physical.
After the death of his father and brother, the old turtle was the only positive father-figure in his life and Max cherished him a lot.
" WHY? " He said again as this time around his voice sounded much more angry as coherent words left his mouth.
His intense shivering finally stopped as the intense sense of loss caused something deep within his primordial bloodline to be unleashed.
His usual blood red eyes began to glow brighter as an insatiable bloodlust gripped Max causing his strength to surge to absurd levels.
As Angakok finally came into his field of vision, the shaman god had expected to see a broken man who was devastated to lose his master.
Instead, what he saw made his soul tremble as eyes much more dangerous than his own purple glow stared straight into him as if it wanted nothing more than to rip him apart into pieces.
It was by no means the eyes of a broken man devastated by the loss of a loved one.
It was the eyes of a predator who had lost himself to the pain and had dropped all semblance of common sense.
