Chapter 161: 2 Bosses
"Damn, that kid really isn't going to help us at all," said Ethan, one of Thomas's friends.
"Did you ever think that he was going to? The way he was carefree while watching us deal with the weaker monsters, I always knew he would just stand aside and watch our battle against the Boss, as this battle will be even more dangerous," the thin man said with disgust.
"Shhhh!" The fat woman put her finger between her lips and told them to shut up while waving to the imps nearby who looked at them with malice, hoping that their master would order them to kill these people and take their eyes for themselves.
Unfortunately that order never came. The special skill imps had become the group's leaders. While Noah was away, they were the ones who gave the orders to the rest of the imps. Since no one yet had the ability to attack from afar, and everyone wanted to catch their eyes, the imps were all melee attackers. After all, the closer to the eyes, the greater the chance of catching one for themselves.
When they entered the arena fully, a large, heavy iron gate fell behind them, blocking the exit and preventing them from leaving.
On the other side of the arena, a metal gate as heavy as this one was opening, but it was from there where the Boss came. The Blessed have already prepared for battle. Fortunately they had the imps, otherwise, with 3 Blessed dead and Noah missing , the chance of more of them dying in there would be even greater.
The Fortress was considered to have two Bosses because they were really two creatures. A large black unicorn with fiery red horns, red eyes that sparkled in flame, and strange red runes spread across the body of the monster all gave a strong impression of a powerful creature.
This unicorn was unique in that it had frightening strength and speed, even rivaling the latest sports cars, meaning that this single monster could run at a steady pace at over 400 km / h. In addition to those red runes practically making the unicorn's skin as hot as steel that has just emerged from the forge, to the point that no human could mount it without dying from his butt melting by touching it. That would be ridiculous to deal with, since being hit by a monster at this speed would be almost instant death, even with the superior resistance of the Blessed.
But to prioritize, the "other" Boss was even more problematic. Since on top of the unicorn that was already very powerful, there was an even more difficult knight to deal with. With a strength and agility that were compatible with the unicorn, the combination of these two was a terror for the Blessed that encountered it.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtDealing with this Boss almost always meant at least one or two for a group of 15 Blessed would end up perishing. Considering that their group was only 10, disregarding Noah, the chance that they wouldn't even be able to deal with the Boss was very high. Fortunately, Noah had provided the imps to bolster their numbers.
Not to mention that this knight was the monster closest to a human that the blessed ones had met besides those elves. Unfortunately, underneath the great armor that protected the knight, there was only one large fire skeleton that disappeared in a short time, which made it very difficult to know if it was a human or another race they were facing.
"Waaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrggghh!" The knight shouted in a deep voice and ordered the unicorn to run towards the group, while pointing the big spear at whoever was closest.
In this case, the imps were very disappointed to realize that there was only one pair of eyes for them to catch, and their boss had specially instructed them to control themselves and not catch the unicorn's eyes, so in fact, it was more accurate to say there were no eyes they could take.
But even without the eyes to take off, the imps still screamed and spread across the battlefield with the exception of the imps who were always next to Amber and the couple who had helped Noah.
Like a bullet train, the unicorn ran among the Blessed, and much to the plight of the fat woman, she was not agile enough to dodge the knight's spear and was stabbed like a fork skewers a sausage.
The Blessed Ones didn't care about the bloody scene that had just happened in front of them, and took advantage of this chance to attack the Boss as much as possible.
Because of the goblins' high agility, they were able to pass close to the unicorn and the knight and inflict a few small cuts on them. Unfortunately, the knight had a large amount of armor protecting him, which meant that the goblins were unable to cause any kind of damage and started to focus all the damage on the unicorn. Even though the unicorn had a very hot skin, the imps that were created in hell had a high resistance to fire, allowing their claws to truly cut through the unicorn's skin, making it scream in pain with each cut it received.
The humans also tried the same thing, but chose to focus their attacks on the unicorn to disable it in order to slow the knight and make the battle more manageable.
---
Noah had taken the big black saddle with stars in his eyes. It was just something like this that he was looking for. Ever since he had heard about the Boss, Noah remembered Terrence and thought that there might be some way he could tame that knight's unicorn, so much so that he specifically gave the imps an order not to tear the unicorn's eyes out, even though they were allowed to hurt the monster as long as they didn't cripple him.
With this saddle, Noah was pretty sure he could ride the unicorn even though the monster's temperature was greater than 1,000 degrees Celsius. But for that, first he would have to deal with the knight who was mounted on him. Unfortunately Lilith's telekinesis was not strong enough for her to hold a huge unicorn at 400 km / h, or a skeleton of fire. So the only thing he could count on for that was to let the Blessed Ones deal with the monster, while he stayed back from afar just watching and waiting for the perfect moment to come in and snatch the prize itself.
He imagined that as long as he managed to ride the unicorn, it would become possible for him to make a contract with the monster.
Of course, his teleportation ability would be very useful and would probably be a decisive factor in the battle, which could end it much faster than if he did not interfere, but one of his targets was still alive.
Not to mention that the horse might not be the only thing he was going to receive for invading the Fortress.
When looking at his own clothes, Noah really felt that they were insufficient. Any attack by monsters could invade this thin fabric he wore as clothing, so maybe it was time to replace it...

I have updated the chapter in the wrong order, so to fix it I have changed it, but the word count dont allows me to delete so many words, as the chapter 159 was cheaper for the amount of words, this chapter right here will be more expensive that it originally should. I hope you guys don't care about it.
Really sorry... I hate how it works...
